Before After

Still alive

Hope everyone is having a great summer.  Can't believe it's the middle of July already.

Things here are going well.

My challenge is plugging along.  Am on week #8.

If you would like, you can read all about it here.

A quick re-cap of the summer so far...

My husband went to Alaska for 16 days with work.  He had fun.  I'm glad he's home.

My brother has gone to Afghanistan.  Love to get his e-mails.  Let's me know he's ok.

My nephew came to stay with us for three weeks.  We had fun.

My husband and I have ran another 5k.  I'm starting to "get" what RBR, Shelley, Andrea, and Angela have been talking about doing these events.   Running still hurts me, but I find myself wanting to do it for other reasons.

More folks that I love and care about have started a Transformation challenge, and that makes me happy.

I am still doing Mary Kay and like it.  Am going to Dallas in 2 weeks with my sister for Seminar.

Still working "pool" in the ER.  (meaning I have no set schedule and fill in where they need me.)  They call, and I can say "yes," or "no" depending on my schedule at home and with Mary Kay.  It's really flexible, and perfect for what we need.

I have found out I have skin cancer on my face and back.  Will have surgery for that in the coming weeks.

Am working through getting along with my son better.  The start of the summer was pretty rocky.  Things are getting better though.

My husband, son, and I are waiting for our orders to know where we are going to be living for the next four years.  We should know by the end of the month.  We will move at the end of the year.

The three of us are planning on going to Denver for the big Transformation "convention" I guess you would call it?  We are planning on running (well, I won't be running) but we are planning on doing the 1/2 marathon for the Make-a-wish foundation.  That is in October.

Am looking forward to meeting Bill Phillips, the other transformation folks that will be there, and Dick and Rick Hoyt.  They will be featured guests at the event. Am praying my face surgery doesn't mess that up too bad.

That's pretty much it, in no particular order.

Am plugging along, and "get to" do so much.  Feel very blessed at the moment.

Hope you are all doing well, and having a great summer.

Wanna be super inspired?  Check this out.

There is another video that plays right after the first one that's just as incredible.

Sigh...

That's a long list of updates filled with lots of highs and a few low-lights.

Thinking and holding good thoughts for the outcome of your upcoming surgery.

Peace = )

Hello there

I'm glad that your brother's well and you all ran that 5k, sounds good.

But I am so sorry to hear about your cancer, I hope that the surgery is painless and you recover beautifully.
Hoping you are well!
