Before After

RED ????

Had a great weekend.

Got up on Sat. before a workshop and went running at 0355!!!!!!  Knew if it didn't get done then, it wasn't going to get done.  Was pretty cool to be out that early.  Very peaceful.  (well, except for Cardio Coach going in my head)

The workshop was with a international professional make-up artist, and author.  (Robert Jones) Was able to earn lunch with him, and he told me what to do with my hair!!!!!

*doing a happy dance here*

First he said to let my eyebrows grow thicker.  He said that thin eyebrows make women look older, and thick ones make women look younger.

I then asked what short haircut he would suggest and he said NONE!!  He said if I needed to do anything, I needed to let it grow longer.  (which is right in line with what I want to do.  My 20 year class reuninion is next year and I want it longer for that)  He then said to get rid of the blonde highlights and go RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!   How FUN!  And almost funny....

My real hair color (which I haven't seen in quite some time) is darker with TONS of natural red in it.  So many of my family members have beautiful red hair.  My aunt has firery red hair, and the girls on my moms side of the family down in Arkansas are all beautiful red heads.  It's in my blood. Funny that I've worked hard to get rid of is what God gave me in the first place, and what's suggested now.  Can't wait to get it done in the next couple weeks.

Was a fun day.  He is HILARIOUS!!!!

He has a great book out right now that I can't put down.

Good stuff!

Today was the first day in about 3 weeks I was able to go to the 0545 spinning class.  Was happy to be back.

I've made a friend at spinning and she was there ready to go.  My friend is Glenda and she is probably say...60ish.  She looks amazing!  What I love about Glenda is she knows EVERYONE!!  Everyone talks to Glenda, and she always introduces me to somone who is new to either the class or the club.  She is such a social butterfly and I love it.  i was happy to spin this morning, and I was even more happy to spin beside Glenda.

Then...I spent my morning at the doctor. FINALLY called to have this left foot checked out.  The new shoes helped temporarily, but lately the pain has been worse than ever.  If I am going to press on with walking / running in events, this can't continue on.

Was nice because this Dr. covered all the bases.  Got an x-ray, pain meds, and a pair of inserts are being custom designed for my feet.  *sweet*  I will be able to pick them up on Monday.

She even listened to some other concerns I have, and referred me off base to a specialist and ordered a full panel of blood work.  *nice*

We are military so you don't always see the same doctor each time.  Sometimes I feel drs don't listen the best, but found her very friendly and helpful.

Can't wait for my insoles.  Those should be pretty cool.

13 days left in my challenge, and I am already excited to start the next one.  That is, of course, after I finish this one STRONG!!!

Take care everyone.  Alicia

Spinning is so tough, great job

Your friendship-love is probably just as important to Glenda as she is to you.

I hope your foot gets fully recovered soon.

and I love the idea of less maintenance on the eye brows and the hair coloring. Maybe just go natural hair eventually, it's definitely a money saver.

See ya

:)

Oh how wonderful to be given such personal advice!

I am quite envious!!

I hope your foot improves - a good doctor makes ALL the difference!

Red hair.... I want to be a red head so badly.  I never get it right at home.  It's always brassy looking.  But I'm too cheap to pay at the salon.  So I guess I'll stick with my dark hair.  Well... and the four silver ones that like to stick up.

Hope the foot gets better!!!

go for it!

As a redhead, I fully support your future hair change. Redheads (NOT blondes) definitely have more fun.

I also find it funny that people are most likely to consider redheads intimidating--it can certainly help when you need to renegotiate a lease or deal with a customer service issue.

Red heads

I love, love, love your upbeat outlook!

The insoles can be great, but sometimes they take some getting used too, so you may have to adjust to them a little.

I have red in my hair, too that I have been covering.  It always manages to sneak back out.  I would love to see a picture of yours when it is done.  I always look at other red heads and think how lovely, I don't know why I don't just emphasize what I've got.  Hmmm. Maybe you've provided me with some inspiration.

Don't forget a picture!!!!

That's so awesome that you will now have a very personal reason to run the St. Jude Half!
