Spinning was fun

 Spinning was fun this morning.  It's been awhile since I've hit the gym by 0530, and it felt GREAT to be there and get moving that early. 

I will say that riding outside has truly helped me.  (and is still my first love) The class was a little challenging, and I was sweating and all but it wasn't something that killed me like it would have a year ago. 

This new gym has this really cool ab machine that I've never seen.  It has 3 weighted balls and you grab one when you come up, hold it over your head while you go back, then throw it at a target when you come back up.  It was like playing a kids game.  Was fun and HARD all at the same time!!! 

Was also very happy that this gym is only 14.1 miles round-trip.  I know the other one is just 2 miles away, but I don't think 14.1 round-trip is all that bad.  I may even keep doing my strength training at the gym on base.  Who knows? 

I am very, very thankful to have so many options. 

I'm also happy that I'm up, workout is done, dog is walked, flowers are watered, and I'm dressed for the day.  I'm going downstairs to have some oatmeal and scrambled egg whites with salsa and veggies.  I have MANY things to do, and have no doubt this early morning burst of energy from my workout will carry me through this day.

Great job for having everything accomplished so early!  Now I have been tyring to talk myself to actually get up earlier when the alarm clock actually rings...I will try harder tomorrow.  I bet it feels awesome to get workout done earlier in the day.

Only 530 am?

Wow, that is late.  I changed to a 24 hour gym with a pool for training.  If I have to open or be at class early, I set the alarm for 4am.  Granted I get to bed between 8 and 9. 

Have you decided if you are doing any events next year?  If you are keep me posted.

I think the days of you being lax are over.  Not that you were really lax in my opinion.  But you thought you were.  That's awesome!

Sounds really nice and fun!  14 miles round trip is not bad at all.  And it already seems that you really like the benefits of going there.  I have to give credit where credit is due.. 530AM WOW I could never do that

Look at you!

Going to spinning class!!  That class looks so hard, I never ventured into it at the gym!!  But i'm not really a cyclist.  I like to bike outside and as soon as we get some decent temps, I'll be doing that.  But i'm no speed racer.  i have a pretty baby blue bike :)

Great work on getting up and moving! New exciting things in the gym tend to help pass the time! And when its fun you dont notice it so much as work! Good luck and way to go!

Thank you so much for BOTH of the birthday cards and yes you do know that I enjoyed them and each brought a smile to my face.

My goal is to get up at least 3 days a week before 8AM to get my workouts in.  My hubby would pass out if I managed to rise before the hour of 8. 

Got any good advice for me.  I so admire you for being up and at it by 5:30 in the morning.  You rock my friend.  Blessings to you.  Chargail

Gym & Things

I'm so glad that you love your new Gym!!  The ab work out with the balls sounds like fun!  Never heard or saw anything like that before!!  Its fun to try new things.  Hope you get a chance to do all the classes too!

I got my CC's 2 & 5 in the mail yesterday!  So happy to get them and add them to my work outs.  I was a little let down because they didn't come in the case that they use to, Sean put them in a envelope. I guess that's why it was cheaper.  I really would have paid full price and get the case to keep it in.  When you oredered #8 did it come in the case?

Got to do wts. today.  Love doing it with Bob, I like the way he talks, and teases us on the video.  He's really tough!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels that I can do a total body workout  with wts. in one day.  Body Builders work different muscles on different days because they are using heavier wts than I am.  I'm going to stick with the toning with lighter wts for now.  People kept telling me to do it all different waysbut Bob is a trainer and I do think he knows what he's talking about too!  Yes, its great to have so many different fitness things to enjoy and keep us going!!
