One tiny victory http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/geniferb/comments/120557/one-tiny-victory I decided to bake my friend some cookies for her birthday (which is Thursday). I made some sugar cookies in the shapes of butterflies. I ate NO DOUGH. (That was always a big struggle for me). I have a dud cookie that I can have with a glass of milk for a snack later on tonight. In the olden days, I would have probably eaten half the bowl of dough. Today, I decided that I would try not to eat any, just to see if I could do it. Nice to see that I could! Comments(0) 120557 Friday, December 1, 2006 22:07:21 Check me out... http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/geniferb/comments/118788/check-me-out I have a blog!

I have been working on health and fitness for a couple of years now and I thought it would be fun to create a blog where I could keep track of what is happening with me.

A little history:
My weight today is 261. This isn't the beginning of my journey...that started in January 2004. At that time, I weight over 300 lbs, so I have made some pretty significant changes to my lifestyle. This isn't the least amount I've weighed since then, either. I got down to 233, but then the losing stopped. I got frustrated and ended up gaining some.

I recently visited my doctor and we looked at some of the reasons that I wasn't losing. I have a sluggish metabolism and that's something I needed help with. So she and I looked at all of my options and chose the most reasonable. It has made all of the difference in the world and I've managed to lose about 12 lbs to get to where I am now. I am happy to see that my time in the gym is paying off. Comments(0) 118788 Friday, December 1, 2006 22:04:16
