I'm Struggling
I'm having a hard time with this whole, "no structure", issue of summer break, when it comes to the diet and exercise thing. I was so sure that once summer break was here I'd kick it up a notch and just hit it out of the park, ya know?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not sitting around watching soap operas and eating bon bons. I'm eating "good for me" food, and I'm very active, what with working in the gardens and the yard. But my attendance at the gym has been less than stellar. I took Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Today I decided to once again take advantage of the beautiful weather, so I went for a walk. According to Map My Run I walked about 2.4 miles in about 45 minutes. But none of this is helping me in my quest to lose more weight.
And so I struggle on and try to remember:

Hahaha!
Okay, no, I'm not laughing at you. I just know that when I'm at home, I eat way more. It's hard with no structure. But at least you have more time to workout, right? Okay, yeah, that doesn't help. Sorry.

ditto!
I think we all do our worst when we don't have structured activities. It's sad and makes me feel like a little kid, but then again if I had willpower to begin with, I wouldn't be over weight!
Just do your best and whenever you find a little extra motivation, use it! (or pass it my way because mine seems to be missing in action!)
best wishes!

Maybe....
... you could make it a goal to maintain through the summer then while you would rather be out in the great outdoors walking and such for your exercise? Gasp! I know that is virtually unheard of in the diet-world, but it may be a good option.
(( HUGS )) and hang in there!

I agree
My friend has lost a lot of weight - and she always takes summers 'off' and just maintains. It works for her!

Hey there
Hope you have been doing great!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time on your anniversary weekend. Loved the picture I could see. The link asked for a password.
I imagine you are enjoying your gardening. Do you plant a vegetable garden as well? We're not allowed to plant veggies in our military housing, only flowers. It's been a long time sinse I've tended a veggie garden.
Loved the little walking guy a few posts back. How cool. I just wanted to watch him.
The quote above is true. I am writing it down and taping it on the computer.
Did I read you bought the Body-for-Life book????? Woo Hoo!!! That AWESOME!!!!
You know, a challenge would be an excellent motivator for the summer.

Hope you have a great day!!!

Just hang in there
It's just going to take some adjusting. There's always temptations when your not running errands or working and such. Just do the best you can and you'll figure out the best way to get around the temptation
