At that rate I should pull into goal in about 2 years. I have 52 more pounds to go so I guess you could say that I am about 4/5th of the way through my program. I have gotta believe this will change. I have been down this road before. As a long as I am true to my program and think positive it will change. I have really put my body through the mill in the last 2 years. I do believe that periodically the body needs to take a time out and just catch up and repair the damage. This makes is easier to take, when I know I am healing after years of abuse.

On the good side I am pretty content with my program. For the most part I enjoy my food and I am not feeling deprived or hungry. This is awesome since the holidays are coming and I am in this for the long run. I find it very managable.

I am much happier knowing that I am doing something about it than when I am off porgram struggling to find motivation to begin again.

Gee
Comments(0) 224262 Friday, December 8, 2006 21:00:17 One more time! http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/gees/comments/221567/one-more-time
Make up your mind it needs to be done and "just do it!" No more excuses, we can always think of one. No more putting it off until tomorrow, because there is always one more tomorrow. Start now, don't wait for the number one on the calendar. Just how many first of the months have come and gone since you made yourself that promise.

Start now! And take it one day at a time.

Try it one more time starting now!

Gee
Comments(0) 221567 Friday, December 8, 2006 22:02:18 Just Do It http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/gees/comments/220041/just-do-it
I am!

Now celebrating 40 consecutive days on-track! No back-slidding. NOT SO, SO NOT SO. I almost ignored the symptoms to the point of having a stroke.

After my labs I started developing a migraine headache that continued for 5 days. I new my blood pressure was up, but the wrist cuff was only giving me a glimpse of how bad it was.

Even though I had an MD appointment on the 20th I just couldn't deal with the headaches.

I went into the clinic for a Glucose Tolerance Test for my presumed diabetic condition. While there I had the treatment nurse monitor my blood pressure. Well it was 182/96 and my O2 saturation was 93%. She got me into the MD that day and I was given additional blood pressure medication.

I WAS LUCKY, MOST PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE SYMPTOMS OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.

Well today I was back to the MD. I took this as a real wake-up call. The last one I need. My Glucose test came back normal. Reprieve I don't have diabetis, well not yet. My headache is gone and my Blood Pressure is normal. I am now taking 6 perscription medication.

Good news is I lost 7 pounds in the 5 days between doctors appointments.

Anyhow it isn't a matter of choice anymore.

Hugs, Gee

Comments(0) 209728 Thursday, December 7, 2006 22:00:23
