My friends list

Wow.

Well, I knew my sis told me that people would come swarming, but I didn't expect 16 people to comment so soon!

Anyways, I'm keeping pretty good to the diet.   I never was a huge eater to begin with, it's just I was eating a lot of the wrong things.   I always got the daily intake of calories in the time span of one meal.   So, it's only a matter of changing what I eat, not quite as much the amount I eat (though that's changing, too).

I've been at 1,500 to 1,800 calories the past few days.   Haven't quite got into a regular exercise routine, but I'm sure with warmer weather coming, I'll be a bit more motivated to do that.

sounds like you are

off to a great start.  keep up the good work.  and we can't be fooled by todays weather cause the rest of the week looks like rain.  yuck yuck yuck.

Nice!

What you describe is exactly how I got to be a chunky monkey- didn't eat that much but ate the wrong things. Or ate my daily calorie allotment at one sitting!! Ugh! It's always easier to do mindless eating rather than plan out the meals for the day. But, the rewards are great when you can stick to it and the pounds start to fall off! Keep up the great work Timothy!! :)

Welcome

Please drop by my blog when you can. I try to throw out a recipe and a joke every now and then. I have learned the more you post, the more support you get. Hang in there. We all have the same goal!

Welcome - Don't sweat the exercise

Welcome and good luck. Exercise is great to get healthy, but its not a huge part of weight loss. Eating fewer calories is by far the biggest contributer to weight loss. It is far easier to consistently eat less than to exercise away those calories. So my advice is don't worry about starting to work-out right away, instead, focus on your diet. Believe me once the weight starts dropping away you'll know when you feel its right to start some exercise.

Lucky

It's lucky that you were never a big eater, that is awesome!  So you need to conquer the types of food you eat.  It's hard but you will do it.
