Aunt Flow and I are BFF
BFF for now! LOL. I was wondering why I couldn't get full, and everything sweet and carby tempted me. She made her appearance this morning, and it kind of scared me because this is my first in almost a year because of my pregnancy. So, we'll weigh again on Monday. I remember I used to gain 6-7lbs each month. Hopefully thats still true, and my 298 from Monday was inaccurate. :-)

no loss no gain
Well, as reluctant as I were to go to the gym last night, I made it. I had already had a pretty long day and then I went shopping, and still decided to go to gym. I'm really proud of myself for that. Not to mention that it was my weigh in day. I'm still at 298. For my first week I ate terribly, and was extremely lucky to have not gained. I just knew that I would be over the 300 mark again. Whew.
I hate that I want breakfast every morning, especially a McDonald biscuit. Sigh, I have to get out of that.

sore
Didn't go to the gym yesterday. But I knew that I wouldn't be going everday anyway. My arms are sore from Thursday and doing those 30lb arm exercises. But I know if I go tonight that I'll be on that thing again. I can't believe that I lost inches everywhere but in my arms over the past year. Thats ok, thats a trouble spot, including my thighs. But I'm working on it, so thats good. Still gotta get better at this eating thing.
I'm starting to think that my diabetes from the pregnancy is still here. I really hope its not, I go for testing in March. Gotta pick up the slack around here.

5 miles on 2nd day
You know what? Yesterday I went to the dr. and I had lost a pound since Monday! How exciting is that? So I'm still 3 under 300. Whew! Last night I went to the gym and did 2 miles on the treadmill 13 minutes faster than I did on Monday, so that was good. Then I got on the bike and did 3 miles in 13 minutes. That sounds good to me, but I know I can still do better, and I also know that I shouldve had the resistance set at 4. LOL
Bought my stability ball, but it still needs to be inflated. Hopefully I may get some time to go to the gym today. I've done 7 miles this week, and my goal is 10, so I should be able to make it by Sunday. Just think, I only have 2 1/2 days to my next weigh in. I gotta drink some water!

much better
Did much better with the eating yesterday. For dinner I made some veggie spaghetti (tastes so good), and spring mix salad with fresh mozarella. Didn't get to go to the gym because of the windstorm. Even though I really wanted to go, I didn't want to risk getting blown away in my car or having a pole fall on me. Seriously, it was that rough.
Well, I go to the doctor today for my 6 week pp appointment. I know I'm going to get weighed, and I don't know if I want to look at it. What if I've gained since Monday, and I'm back over the 300 mark? ????????????????? NOOOOOOOOOO
Bought my stability ball today, so hopefull I can get in a few situps and pushups. Dang, to think on Monday there was only 2lbs between me and the big 3. Sigh. I shouldve fasted yesterday. LOL

The psychology of success
Yesterday was SOOOOOOOO rough, I ate so much from morning to midnight. I don't know if its because I bought groceries the other day or what! I was somewhat ashamed of myself for indulging so much. It was ridiculous. Today I understand that I'm not just going to be able to go from 9 months of 'eating for two', to a 1200 calorie diet. Its going to take time, and for this first week I'm going to focus on exercise and water intake. I am going to try to minimize my sweets, but I'm not going to hate myself because I'm not on an eating schedule yet. I decided that my goal will be 6-10miles per week on treadmill and at least 1 hr of some other exercise.
Also I looked at before and after weight loss pictures on Youtube, pretty inspiring. One thing I've learned about weight loss, is DO IT NOW. Just think if I didn't start trying until July... How much weight could have lost in the 6 months from now to then? Its like saving a dollar a day for 6 months... or saving for a year.
Oh, and I did redo my measurments. From April of last year to now I've lost 14 inches overall. However, my arms are still the same size? Hmm.

First day, ok.
298
Well, yesterday wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but it was challenging. I almost gave in to a huge slice of cheese pizza, but I declined. I think I'm going to start working out in the morning and the evening to keep my energy level up. Ended up going to the gym and that turned out fine, however I was the only woman in there. I only worked on the treadmil, but since I'm right at 6 weeks post partum, I think that was enough. I felt most of my burn in my hips and butt.
Stats:
water- 1 litre
exercise- 2.11 mile treadmill (1 hour straight)
edibles: large salad for dinner (spring mix, croutons, light honey mustard, 5 veggie buffalo nuggets, 2 tablespoons of black beans, gorgonzola cheese, tomatoes, and red onions), dessert--- 3 strawberries, 1 banana. snack- half milk way--- after gym snack (bag of doritos, cream cheese, 12oz soda.
I can't believe that I gained 10lbs of my the 58 that I had lost. It's been about 2 weeks, so I guess thats not bad. I knew once my appetite came back that I would regain. As long as it does not go over the 300 mark. But I'm damn close. Sigh.... Well, my next weigh in is Monday and hopefully at least 3lbs will be gone.

Its Monday! Time to start...

In the past I've had some success but mostly failures, in starting a goal out on Mondays, but today is going to be an exception. Its been about 10 or 11 months since I've been to the gym because of the pregnancy. I'm excited about going today but I must put it in my head that I'm not going to be able to do 5 miles like I used to, not yet. Perhaps I'll start out a mile on the treadmill, and a half mile or so on the bike, then do some weight exercises. My goal is to do a little yoga today, and I also plan on buying my stability ball. I didn't know those things were so expensive, but I'm going to price it at Wal-mart.
I think I got in my sweet cravings over the weekend by eating milky ways, popcorn, chips, and a caramel milkshake. Luckily I didn't wake up hungry since I've been eating breakfast lately. Ok, I feel like I'm rambling and I have lots of housework to do, and will start on my litre of water here soon.
I'm going to do my measuments again sometime today. I also know that if I weigh myself at the gym today I may be in for a shock. I know that I've gained some pounds back from the baby weight I lost. Two weeks after I birthed I lost 32lbs, and a week after that my total was 54. A week and a half ago the total was 58lbs, taking me to 288lbs. Hence, the reason I currently have 295 on my graph, its an estimate, but hopefully its much lower than that! I'll pdate it accurately when i come home.
The willpower to eat the right foods seems so much harder than it did last year. I can tell its time to detox.

Had my baby and I'm back!

Monday is my new start date! I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl in December and Tuesday marks my 6 weeks. I must admit that I've missed the gym this past year, but my healthy pregnancy was well worth it. I lost lots of weight after the pregnancy and I will be uploading a pic soon. Yes! I'm back, and looking to lose 90lbs!

I'm Expecting!

Hubby and I are expecting! I haven't done a post on here in a while. I guess weight loss boosts fertility. I had my first appt the other day, and because cycle was off had to do an ultrasound the following day. I seen the baby guys, and his/her little heart beating. That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. I'm 6 weeks. I am still pumped about the weight loss thing, and plan to resume after December. I feel so blessed.
If any of you have any tips to give me, please inform. I have been trying my best to take it easy. I have had one mc in the past and one blighted ovum. This is my first pregnancy in two years, so advice is very helpful.
