NO RESULTS YET.

But I did go down a pound!  Now I have to wait over the whole weekend again to get my test results.....grrrrr.   I know a positive attitude makes a big difference because I've been through cancer before, but sometimes it's hard to think about having cancer again on top of the incurable lung disease I was diagnosed with in June.  

We pick up the truck we bought on Monday and the trailer on Tues or Wed.  They're both used but it'll be great having the width that we didn't have in our old trailer.  We live in it 4 1/2 months in Canada in the summer so we need the space.   Next year we plan to take extra trips to Quebec City and other parts of Canada.  I love the peacefulness in the country on the lake.   We'll probably do some local camping this winter to try it out.

EXPENSIVE DAY!

We've been looking for a fifth wheel trailer and a truck to pull it with and we finally found them.  They aren't new but the trailer has a nice kitchen and two slideouts....yaay!  I just hope my health doesn't mess up our travel plans.   I'm going to call my doctor early to see if they have the results of my tests and I'm really nervous.   Whatever will be will be I guess.

Weight stayed the same today, but that's ok.  I've been so busy this week I haven't made it to Curves as often as I like.   Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

THE WAITING GAME!

The PET scan was a piece of cake.  I almost went to sleep.   Hopefully I'll know something by the end of the week.

As for my weight, it goes up or down a pound every day.....grrrr!   I'm anxious to get into the 170's.  It's already hot and muggy this morning.....I think I'll go back to bed for a few minutes.   Or maybe I should go to Curves.......nawwwww.....bed sounds better.  See ya'll later!

GLAD THAT'S DONE!

I can't even say the bone marrow test was painful....just a little uncomfortable.   PET scan tomorrow then it's just wait around for the results, treatment and prognosis.

QUIET SUNDAY.

Nothing new today really.  I wasn't hungry today so I just had the rest of my chicken noodle soup for lunch.   I made my very first beef stew for hubby today in the crockpot, but I don't like stew and that's why I've never made it in 65 years.....lol.

I spent most of the day online looking for a used fifth wheel trailer to take to Canada next year.  Our old trailer is only 8X24 ft with no slide outs.   Hubby and I have to hug to pass in the living room....too bad....so sad.....lol.   We do have a screen room that doubles as a family room/dining room.

Guess I'll take a sleeping pill and try to get some rest before my bone marrow tomorrow.   I'm so nervous and I'll be glad when it's over!  Nighty night!

GREAT SATURDAY!

I lost another pound that I had gained back so that was a good start!   I felt bad for my scale having to see me nekked but I guess it didn't bother him because he liked me today. 

I went bowling with my babies and had soooo much fun.  It was one of my worst feeling days because I was short of breath, weak and dizzy but we made it through!   Then we went to my daughter's house and played Candyland and Hungry, Hungry Hippo, which hubby napped right through.  How I don't know.   Have you ever played that game....lol.  It is loud!  My grandson and I have a noon date tomorrow after church to bowl online.  He always beats me too! 

Going to visit some of you guys so have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

NO BOO'S TODAY!

I FINALLY got approval for my bone marrow test and PET scans....yaay!   I'll have them done on Monday.  Though I'm not looking forward to it I'll be glad to have it over with and get my chemo started if I need it.    After reading all my test results I'm pretty sure I will be needing chemo and radiation, but sometimes being a nurse means you know just enough to make you worry....lol.    Though leukemia doesn't sound like a fun disease, I survived chemo and radiation 15 years ago and I can do it again!  I hope.  And I thought worrying about the incurable lung disease was bad!   Having both should really be fun.  

I made it to Curves today and did a hard workout.   I felt better that I went....AFTER I got home!   Lost another of those pounds I had gained back too.      My main goal right now is to get another inch off my waist/stomach.  That'll take me out of the 40's....yaay!  39 just sounds so much smaller than 40.

INSURANCE COMPANIES....BOOO!

Well, my oncologist's office just called to tell me that my bone marrow test for tomorrow hasn't been approved yet .....grrrrr!    Now I'll probably have to wait at least over the weekend unless something happens early tomorrow.   Sometimes ya just don't feel like a human being with these companies....lol!  They have total control over us.

Oh well, the GOOD news is that I DID lose one of the pounds that I had gained back!    .  

ANOTHER POUND UP.....BOOOOO!

I'm up another pound and gained half an inch on my waist.  I am soooo mad!  My doc says it's my enlarged speen.   I'm going to tell her that I want the #*^%$#'ed thing cut out!    Well, I would if I could....lol.   My stomach was where I wanted to lose the most and I'd lost 4 inches......now I just look pregnant!    Right......at 65 years old.....lol!

Feeling a tiny bit better emotionally today though I don't tink it's FAIR that a person should get TWO life-threatening illnesses at once and after surviving cancer already.   My pulmonary hypertension seems to be mild so far so I'm more worried about the leukemia.    Guess I'll wait till I find out for sure before I go bonkers!

Sorry I whine about my health so much but it's all I can think of at the time.

NOT A GOOD DAY.

Well, I went to my oncologist this morning and I'm having a PET scan and a bone marrow test on Friday.  She does think I have leukemia so I'm not having a great day.  I think I'll just take a nap since I didn't sleep well last night.  See ya'll later!
