Losing slow but ... still losing!

I'm almost 2 months into the phentermine and I've lost near 20 lbs. 18.6 or something. I know I could do better if I could get in some good exercise but with 2 sick kids the last 2-3 weeks it's been tough. My 6 mo. old has been so clingy.

Anyway - I tried on a pair of pants that didn't fit me the day I started taking the pills (take note that I wore these pants until I was 2 months pregnant with my son last yr.) and they fit me today... size 16! YAY! I have been stuck in my maternity pants for the last 6 mos. because I don't have any pants that would fit me after my son was born. I know...Pathetic but I refused twaste money on new ones I'd only wear for a short time. So I'm happy to now say...BYE BYE maternity pants!!!

Yay! 12 lbs. down!

Okay so I've been having some trouble as I posted in my last blog entry with financial issues and being able to get foods that are lower calorie/carb. I live with 2 other people who won't eat the stuff we all should be eating (you know..the "good for you" kind of stuff ... LOL) so it's been hard when we can only afford so much for groceries and everything we get has to to be able to feed all of us. I know I could just eat less of it (which I have been doing) but OMG I get SO hungry! So I managed to get a little extra money and got me some healthy snacks for between meals (baby carrots and stuff) and it seems to helping out cause today I went back to the dr. and lost another 5 lbs. YAY!!! So that makes 12 lbs. total that I've lost on the phentermine. I know not a lot for being on it a month but hey I'm not going to complain that's 12 lbs. gone!

Carbohydrate Hell and a limited income

I never knew how hard this would be living in a house with my hubby, my 6 yr. old a 4.5 mo. old baby on a limited income. When we go grocery shopping I've always tried to get things for my daughter and I to share throughout the week so we'd save some money on food. Now that I've started the phentermine and trying to go low carb ... There's NOTHING to eat! I never realized how much of our diet was pastas and breads! OMG no wonder my 6 yr. old weighs 60 lbs. Guess it's time to change what we both eat. She's so picky though so I'm not sure how to do this. She won't eat meat, the only vege she'll touch is corn, and the only fruit she'll eat is mandarin oranges. Guess it's time to see the dietician again and get my daughter eating more of that icky stuff that's good for you!LOL

1st week results

I went to the dr. today to get my 2nd vitamin B12 shot and the nurse weighed me. I've lost 7.2 lbs in a week! OMG I love this stuff! I go back on the 22nd to see a different dr. who runs the weight loss clinic in my dr.'s office. She'll do measurements and help me to set up a reasonable diet plan and goal.

Starting my journey to being a loser!

I'm 28 yrs old. I have been heavy all of my life and battled a binge eating disorder. I have tried almost every diet known to the human race from Richard Simmons, otc diet pills, starvation, Atkins, and even Gastric Bypass. However every time the weight just came back. I was diagnosed April of 2007 with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. My Dr. thinks this is a big contributor as well as my lack in knowledge of how to eat properly.

So now here I am again on yet another journey to lose the weight.

On October 8th, my Dr. prescribed me Phentermine 15mg and started me on weekly Vitamin B12 shots. I've heard great results from others who have used this so I'm excited to see how it works for me.
