Long time no post
Well actually it has only been a week, but it feels like an eternity sinmce I posted last. I have been doing pretty good with my new eating habits. I let myself induldge a little friday and ate a piece of a friends b-day cake, but It did not make me fall off the wagon. In fact it gave me more of a boost. I got up at 5:00 this AM and did yoga and I am going to the gym.
Mini goal 185 before June 1st.

Not so Manic Monday
Today has been a pretty subdued day so far. Just chillin at work. I got my hair cut off this weekend. Will post pics soon. We threw a party for my mom Saturday. She has a great time and got an Ipod wich she loved. So I got a present too. She had a RCA Lyra Mp3 Player that she gave me woo hoo now I can work out to good music. I did not make it to the gym this weekend, but I also did not pig out. We went to a pizza place yestarday for lunch and all I had was a buffalo roll (buffalo chicken strip rolled in pizza dough) and a bite of cheese pizza. Victory for me. I have infact met my mini goal of 195. Next goal is ofcourse 190 before May 15. Let see if I can do it

Will I ever get a break
I have a ton to do tonight. Going to the actually sounds good compaired to what I have to do. I have to go shopping for my moms party tomorrow. Then I have to go shopping for 2 gifts. Tomorrow i have to get up early and go to a party for my daughters friend, then I have to go to my moms for her party. With any luck I will be able to sleep sometime Sunday... I hope

I am so glad it is Thursday!!! Not only becasue tomorrow if Friday, but also becasue Grey's is new tonight woo hoo! tonight is also gym night. Yestarday was the dreaded lunch with the bosses wife. This woman is super sweet. She went to macaroni grill and pick up Pasta Milano, Salad, and browines for everyone. I hade a litle pasta, a lot of salad, but no brownie. I am very proud of myself. I sares in the face of temptation, and believe me it was tempting, and turned it down. Brownie point for me pun inteneded.
I have sucessfully lowered my portions, nad have been able to maintain my calories between 1000-1200 a day.

Hump Day
I dread Wednesdays. I attend class every Wednesday night. Normally i love class, but this professor keeps us the whole 4 hours. I hate getting out at 10:00 then having to drive 30min home. Today had been a test of my will power. First we had a rep bring in Whataburger breakfast for everyone then the owners wife is bringing in Macaroni grill for all the girls for lunch. I did good at breakfast. I ate my cereal bar instead which was good, I only hope I can restrain myself at lunch and only eat a little. I love Itallian food!
Well I broke my promise to myself and I weighted in yestarday, and even with aunt flo rearing her ugly head I am down 2lbs for my start. Maybe next weeks weigh in will put me at my mini goal of 195. We shall see.

Still going strong
It has been almost a week... wow only a week...since I started by journey. I think I have done pretty well. I have maintained my healthy eating, and exercise. I did not make it to the gym last nigh, and today I feel tired. Guess that is the power of exercise. I am however going today, storms or not. We are in for more torental rain today, but hopefully no tornados. I have decided to put my weigh in off until next week, and i have a little visiter, nad i tend to retain a ton of water when she comes, so I hope to see at least a 2lb lost next week when I update.
On a more somber note, please keep the friends and family affected by the Virginia Tech Masscare in your thoughts and prayers, as they will continue to be in mine. May the Lord help them through this truly sorrowfull time.

Happy Monday !!!
I had a great weekend. I have done pretty well so far with my new lifestyle. I realized this on Sunday that I had gone until 3:00 on only a banana and I was not starving. Amen! Normally I would have woken up scarfed a few bowls of cereal then been hungry 2-3 hours later. I really feel like I have a handle on my food adiction. I went to the gym Friday night, but my hour was cut short by some very sever weather that passed through. We had 3 tornados touch down here is Texas in just a few short hours . There were several families devistated by these storms, and some lives were lost. Please keep these families in you prayers.
I have decided to set a mini goal for myself each week. This week my goal is to go to the gym 3 days. I am also going to continue my healthy eating and keep my calories under 1200 daily.

Today is a good day!
It is already day 3, and I can feel my will power growing. So far I have declined invitations to go out to lunch, and fought the urge to buy a pint of ice cream at the store last night. To reward myself I enrolled at the gym. I am excited it is really close to me, so I have no excuse not to go. I have to drive by it on my way home so If I skip it will taugnt me. I hope everyone is having as much success so far as I have had. I have only seen a small lose (1lb, but that could have been water) but I already feel better. I fell energized and motivated. I will have to post a picture on here so I can have a before and after to compare.

Words of Encouragement
Wow thank for all the wonderful word of encouragement. I was going to cheat a little at lunch today, but decided to check here first and have re-evaluated my lunch decision.
I did really wll yestarday wich is a miracle. I attend classes ever Wednesday until 10:00pm so it is my ritual to drive thru a fast food restarant on my way home and pick up tons of greasy food, take it home and gorge myself. Yestarday I have a 6" turkey sub and apple slices on my way to school and I had half a pb sandwich when I got home. TTL Cal for the day around 900. Does not seem like much, I am going to try to stay between 1000-1200 a day. I just hope I don't drowned my self with all the water I am drinking. LOL. I toped las t night and loaded up on the good stuff. Eating healthy is really not a problem for me. My problem is I eat enoght healthy food to feed a family of 6. So starting today I am going to focus on portion control. I found a handly little chart to help me out and thought I would share. Enjoy
1 teaspoon of margarine is the size of two stacked quarters
2 ounces of meat is the size of 2/3 of a deck of cards
1/2 cup of
pasta is the size of a baseball cut in half
1-1/2 ounces
of cheese is
the size of
three dice
1/2 cup of vegetables is the size of a baseball cut in half
