Hangin in there!

Still walking hard, now my hubby is walking with me I am happy about that.  Still working on my diet but I think I am getting much better at it now that hubby is on board and is willing to eat the same things.....cant get much better.

I finally got the nerve to post my pics of myself, I always try to hide in photos, but know I just want to see before and after.  I am very determined to get the weight off this is a huge step to post them.  My major goal now is just to get off aleast 20lbs before summer is over.  I am very proud of myself and will continue to stick to my walking program.
 
Just started working nights and am hopeing it does not mess with my eating habits.  I eat very light at night, I am eating a lot more veggies now to try to stay on track.  Go me!

Walking

Im making myself walk every morning now its just about 30 minutes, cause its so hot here.  I am determined to walk about an hour a day.

Fell off the wagon again!!!

Fell off the wagon hard, but Im ready to get serious and jump right back on....weight loss is so hard!

Today was a good day. Still a little stressed, but pretty proud of myself.

Having trouble getting moviated

I follow my plan pretty well during the weeks.   I find myself wanting to eat more on weekends, but I have learned to plan my meals carefully on weekends and shop for them on Saturday morning after I've had a healthy breakfast of oatmeal and a banana.  I am busy on weekends so sometimes it helps if I pre-package food in ziplocks and tupperware so it's quick and easy to grab.

In the past I was known to start things and not finish them because I get bored easy.   Because of that I've learned I need to vary my meals and my exercise routine.   I really enjoy trying out new things and I spend my time at home surfing the net for new ideas for work outs and recipes to try.   I have alot of stress in my workplace and I am finding that going for a walk for a half hour after work really helps to settle my mind and clear my thoughts.  It also helps me when I start to feel sad and depressed and I sleep better when I get a little activity each day.  

I am a deeply caring person and sometimes that makes me not want to put myself first.  I know that I must be strong and take care of everyone else but I've come to know that if I'm not taking care of myself, I'm not able to care for those I love effectively.   I make sure that before I try to give to someone else I make sure my needs are met so I have an abundance to give from.

I have always been heavy and it has stopped me from living the life that I've wanted to live.   I realize now that I need to begin to try new things in spite of the weight, but that is all getting easier as I see the weight coming off.

This is really hard, but it's finally starting to come together.  I'm really glad that I've decided that my health and happiness is worth it.   I am finally getting it all together.
