Losing Centremetres But Weight Loss has Slowed

Hi Folks, Well I've lost a couple of pounds since the last entry but it has slowed significantly. As mentioned I'm doing Atkins and have had too much difficulty so far. I'd really love to hear from any of you doing Atkins or have done Atkins so that we could share the misery!!! Seriously I'd like to know where so of you went right or some of you went wrong. It hasn't been too much of a drama apart from my social life which has all but disappeared. I'm offcially boring this year according to my friends although I haven't stopped myself from going out... just not drinking alcohol, which amongst my mates is a big no no. I got in to this situation of being overweight from drinking beer... I'm now fighting my way out by turning that particular tap off! I know there's low carb beer on the market but at this early stage of my program I'd best stay away!!! Plus I feel really good about the progress I've made and that is enough to keep me on the straight and narrow! I'm losing the fat but it appears that my weight loss has slowed although I've not increased my carb intake and am still on Induction. I guess it is normal and as Dr A mentions in his book, I'm probably going to experience this from time to time. Exercise is the key to break through that I think. My birthday tomorrow.... family outing... have to make it a steakhouse I think and Garlic Prawns... although candles in a 8oz steak isn't the same really. Hope you're all winning and feeling good. Atkins

Hi Folks, This is my first attempt at Blogging. I'm not even sure of what to put here but I'd love to hear from those of you doing Atkins. It's 6 weeks since I started. I've lost 9 kilos in that time! Not a bad result but there's a long way to go. I'm now finding it hard to come up with way to keep this interesting although I'm not doing it tough just yet. I'm in to sport and now having shed a few kilos I'm finding it easier to get around.... bend down... wake up... walk stairs... and basically feel better about myself and my body is also responding. I live in Perth, Western Australia but I'd love to hear from any of you Man or Woman who is doing this Atkins approach. I'd especially love to hear from some girls who are doing it or done it as my partner has tried and failed in th very early stages of the diet...so if you have any ideas on how to get her through the Induction stages then please reply to me. I've found it amazing that every thing I thought about FAT is false. It is still quite unbelievable to me that this approach works and I want to know from you fine people out there what happened and how you maintained or not your goal weight. Anyway, good luck to you all in what ever goals you're chasing. I think it feels good to be taking care of yourself... so make sure that you do! NM
