Another drug

Drug me up baby. I am back from my doctors appointment. He was a new doctor and I liked him a lot. he actually talked top me and got to know a little about me instead of just shoving me a prescription.

I am depressed. It is not my fault. it is a bio-chemical imbalance that Welbutrin will put right (we hope) and I will feel better. I hope to see a difference in a week or two and will go back to see him in three weeks for a complete physical. Now I have to decide if I will tell my husband. He thinks the medical community are all a bunch of pill pushing quacks. I don't think he will be all that supportive but I think that may be because he just does not know what to do or say to make things better.

feel better

I hope your new med makes you feel better! I think I would discuss it with your husband...maybe he can see things your way. I hope it all works out!

Glad you have found a solution

And I hope it works for you! I hope you start feeling better soon. Maybe you should try and find a depression support group to get that extra support you need and that you are afraid your husband might not offer you. Perhaps you could even get your husband to attend one with you so he can hear first hand from people he's not biased about just how bad depression hurts. I wish you well!

YAY

I'm glad you found some help.  I hope the new medicine works well for you.

Drugs

Wellbutrin is doing wonders for me.  My appetite is much smaller, and I'm noticing my anxiety is down.  I take it for smoking- trying to quit- I am already on Effexor for depression (which has worked well for me).  I hope Wellbutrin works as well for you, too!  Keep us posted.

My husband (ex now, actually) is the same way.  Doesnt believe in depression- thinks it's all in my head, even though he has seen me struggle with it for over 15 years.  I personally wouldnt tell him, and see if he notices a difference. THEN I would tell him.  :)
