Before After

Brushing my teeth helps in my battle... who knew?

I have the day off from school today... normally I have clinicals on Thursdays, but we just finished a grueling 6 weeks in Neuro/Trauma so now we are rewarded with a day off. I should be studying, but am procrastinating by writing in my blog. Bad girl!

I weighed myself this morning (I'm obsessed with the scale) and was pleased with the number. I find that when the number looks good it motivates me to keep going and live my day the WW way. Last night I had the munchies and the bag of Tostitos were calling to me so I went and brushed my teeth... that sure put an end to the craving! Cool!

Halloween is tomorrow... not an issue for me. First of all, I really don't like chocolate or sweets that much. Secondly, we live in the country and in the 7 years I have lived here I have never had a trick-or-treater. So I don't buy candy. I do kinda miss the dressed up kids though...

Ok, gotta go hit the books. Learning all about Hypertension and Strokes.

Hi Ever

Welcome to the Onederland group...I just made it there this week....whoo hoo!.....I like the brushing your teeth tip...will have to remember that one.  I'm guessing you are a nursing student?

Brushing teeth

First of all, I wish you all the best with your school work...also, congratualtions on your weight loss...it is moving in the right direction. I wanted to thank you for posting about brushing your teeth..that may be the answer I am looking for. In the evenings when I watch tv I am constantly thinking of what I want to eat...I am going to try brushing my teeth ...and see if it helps me break the habit of eating while watching tv. Thanks, Karen730

Oh yes!

It's a wonderful little trick...brushing your teeth.  Also, painting your nails.  If you have wet nails, you won't want to mess them up by reaching in a chip bag.  LOL!  Way to go!

Good Job!!

Good job on the craving thing.  I know it is sooo hard not to just grab the bag and munch.  And thank you for the suggestion :)  I will try brushing my teeth when the cravings hit.  At the moment, I chew a piece of sugarfree gum and that seems to help.
