Before After

Commitment.

Last night was my husband's family's Seder.  I ate way too much, for a change.

So here it is:  I vow to be a "good" girl --no cheats at all--for 2 weeks.  At least.  However, 2 weeks seems like a reasonable goal to start with.  I certainly am going to fail to reach 200 by my birthday, but I will make all the headway I can.  Enough screwing around!  I can do this!

treading water

I gained 3.1 lbs this week, thanks to a birthday buffet lunch and two days lacking discipline.

I'm really struggling to get this last few pounds off.  I know I have cheated, but I am still getting frustrated.

Sigh.

Hopefully I'll have better news next week.

doing penance

Sunday and Monday were disastrous.  I'm hoping the rest of the week can get me to a break-even point this week.  I need to stop sabotaging my own efforts!

Buffets are bad.  Bad, bad, bad.  We went to a lavish brunch buffet on Sunday for my mother-in-law's 60th bday.  I threw caution to the winds and chowed down.  So, that blew the day...and I had an equally bad dinner...falafel, which is deep-fried.  Then, Monday, on a lark my sister and I went to an all-you-can-eat meat restaurant (Texas de Brazil).

Why do I keep doing this?  Apr. 16 draws ever closer, and I have at least 8 lbs. to lose!

not too shabby...

I was 208.6, with a loss of 1.9.  Pretty good, since I cheated waaay too much this week.  However, last week I weighed in *after* eating, so the loss may be somewhat inflated.  Oh well, I'm happy anyways!

This week is going to be REALLY good...I have 8.6 to lose by April 16th to meet my next intermediate goal...as well as my original Jenny Craig goal set in Nov. 2004.  Oh, the light at the end of the tunnel grows ever closer!

Up 0.4

I gained 0.4 lbs at today's WI.  Howver, I came straight from a big lunch, so I probably actually lost a little.

This last week was far from perfect.  I will try to make up for it this week!

Gah...did I lose anything?!

I weigh in tomorrow...but according to my scale, I haven't lost.  Why, oh why?  I ate about 100-150 cal over every day; I was crampy and crave-y and cranky, and so I relaxed just a wee bit.  I guess that explains it.

However, I did *not* have any of the warm gooey Cinnabons that greeted me in our department office yesterday, nor did I have any potato au gratin casserole that was there today.

So, even if tomorrow's weigh in is anticlimactic, I do have something to feel good about.

maintained

I weighed exactly the same this weigh-in as last one:  210.1.  Since this is Ye Olde Water Retention Week, no gain is enough to make me happy.

I went out with friends yesterday night (despite the disgusting winter storm), and did a really good job with portion control.  I usually have a very hard time disciplining myself to take half home, but I did it.  So, yay!

Here's to a perfect week this week.

Photo Gallery update.

I finally updated the photo gallery with a -100 pic.

so close...

I lost all of .5 lbs this week...not bad, considering the liberties I have been taking.

The weight loss challenge ends today--I lost 15 lbs. this month!  Woohoo!

I have to shed this last 10 lbs. before my Bday on April 16.  That would be an awesome b-day present!

My JC consultant and I actually have pushed my goal down another 10 lbs. to 190, so I won't pop up over 200 when I overeat, which eventually always happens at some point.  I know I'll gain a couple lbs. with all the eating out that surrounds my b-day, too.

Happy Fat Tuesday--hope yours isn't so fat!

ten and a half pounds from goal

Today I weighed in at 210.5, with a loss of 2.5 lbs this week, putting me a stone's throw from the goal I set when I started Jenny Craig in Nov. 2004.  My original goal, 200, has changed, though.  I plan to get down to 190 before going into a short period of maintenance, before trying to lose the remaining 40 I hope to lose.  I am very thin at 160 lbs...man, that would be nice!
