Down 5.2!
Hah! I knew a lot of last week's gain was water weight!
I lost about a pound a day...it has only been 5 days since my last WI. Yee-haw! Maybe next Sat. I will have broken 208.6, my low thus far.
OK...I have got to keep this momentum!

Today was the end-of-the-year biometrics testing (blood pressure, % body fat, weight). Everything improved! I was 225 (fully dressed) in November, now I am 212. My bp and body fat also went down (I don't have the exact numbers...I should have written them down!) Yay!
I'd have liked to have seen even more progress, but hey...things are moving in the right direction.
My WI is tomorrow morning...and for a change, I am looking forward to it.
Well, I have been a very good girl since my weigh-in...gaining tons of weight in a week seems to be a good motivator. Today, there are all kinds of cookies and coffee cake in the kitchen here at work, and I have not touched any of it, nor will I. I'll post Saturday after my WI, hopefully with good news. I'm ready to make some progress, so I can reach my intermediate goal of 195.
At today's WI I was 215.4...a gain of almost SEVEN pounds. My god, I hope that a lot of it is water retention!!!!!
Wow. I need to do better. A lot better.
I overate again last night. Had a friend over, had some wine, figured that since I'd had wine, I could eat too much. Then, since I ate too much, I topped it all off with a handful of pistachio nuts.
I am having serious issues, it seems. I will post here tomorrow after my WI. I couldn't bring myself to go in this morning...so we'll see what happens.
I had to go to ANOTHER bloody all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch for my husband's grandfather's 90th birthday. I am SO SICK of these all-you-can eat meals!
They SCREW ME UP. So yeah, that blew Sunday and yesterday for me. =-( At least I don't have to worry about that half a pound of english butter toffee my friend bought me for my birthday any more...I ate it.
I told my mother-in-law that this was it...if there are any more of these things, I am not going to attend. If they are going to be that inconsiderate, screw them.
Yeah, I'm a little bitter. So we'll see if this week, my body is as forgiving and it was last week.
Grrrrrrr...
I lost 1.2 lbs this week, despite my cheaty weekend and the fact that I drank a giant cup of coffee and a venti light Frappuccino before weighing in. It's cool to be an a position to start making some real progress towards my goal.
Yay!
At my weigh-in Sat AM, I had gained 3 ounces. No biggie.
...Then the birthday celebrations hit. Dinner out Sat, Sun, and Mon. I ate with utter abandon. It was fun though, and I'll recover in a week or so. If I maintain this week, it will be a miracle, but hey, birthdays are a good excuse to celebrate.
This weekend, there is a party for my hubby's grandpa, who just turned 90. I plan to make good choices. My hubby's B-day is also coming up...the challenges never end.
I'll post the damage Saturday, here's to the rest of this week being exemplary.
The party went well. I made excellent choices, although my portion control wasn't great. However, the mere fact that I didn't go bonkers on the dessert table is a victory. I had broiled salmon, broiled chicken, steamed broccoli, steamed asparagus, a salad, and a lot of fresh fruit. There were cakes and brownies and all that kind of stuff, which I ignored except for a small piece of brownie.
So, this week is going well.
I am logging all of my food to check calories the last few days, and plan to keep it up. It helps me feel accountable.
I weighed in at 209.5, for a loss of 5.1 lbs this week! My hard work paid off, despite my piggery of Sun and Mon. My consultant still hopes I'll hit 200 by my birthday, but losing 9.5 lbs. in a week is a daunting, if not impossible task. I ought to let it motivate me to WORK OUT this week, though.
I am going to a party this PM...I plan to eat nothing but veggies, with potentially a tiny taste of other stuff.
All right...let's see what we can do this week!! ![]()
