Update...I am expanding...
Yup...I am in maternity jeans by week 13.
I am the only person I know who can gain weight while throwing up all the time, although to be fair, I am rarely throwing up anymore. And I had pizza and chocolate cake for lunch/dinner. The baby made me do it.
I'm healthy, the fetus is healthy, and I guess I'll just have to do some serious Jenny Craiging after I have this kid. I hear breatfeeding burns loads o' calories...
Oh...and if the scale at the OB's office is to be believed, I gained 6 lbs. in 10 days. Sweet lord.

go you!!
enjoy the pregnancy stuff and not dwell on those numbers. Yes, breastfeeding does burn loads of calories, but you have to eat more to compensate for it. I didn't breastfeed~but I was in the military and had to leave to go out to sea again soon and didn't want to have to deal with that one...
Take care and you are doing great!

weight gain
My friend had a hard time with her pregnancy weight gain as well. She got pregnant just a few monnths after losing over 100 lbs, and had finally gotten to her goal weight. She ended up gaining close to 80 lbs. It was partially because she didn't deny herself any craving or food she wanted while pregnant. BUT the other reason was that her body just held onto all of that extra nutrition that it had been denied for so long. It took the opportunity to build up all of her fat stores again.
I just wanted to share that, so that you know that some of this weight gain might be out of your control. Not to say that it's completely out of your control, but your body will do what it thinks is best for you and the baby. You may just have to go along for the ride, and wait for that beautiful baby at the end!
Good luck!
