A little about me!!

Well I am a Surgical Technologist and I travel. I take 13 week contracts at various hospitals all over the United States filling the employment needs of these hospitals temporarily until their needed positions are filled by full time employees. I work 4 10 hour shifts a week. I generally work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

My husband travels with me. Because of my career and traveling I find it hard to stick to a diet and exercise. The apartment where I am currently at offers a free 24 hour gym with access by card. So I figure I need to take advantage of this. I have never been a member of a gym before but I use to have a exercise bike which I exercised on it daily and had lost almost 40 pounds on it!! I also had done The Firm Video collection and liked the results with that as well.

I am going to try and post on this daily or at least once a week with my progress with exercise and calorie intake. I look forward to giving/recieving support on here so please ad me to your friends list and I will do the same. I want to lose the 20 pounds that I have gained since I got married almost 2 years ago. My husband is a wonderful cook (enough said) and I never have to cook. He is aware of me trying to lose weight and is supportive. He is even working out with me  

This week I exercised everday execept yesterday. I have picked Fridays for my free day because my husband and I like to go out after I get off of work. So it makes it a nice evening to be with him! This week I have worked out for about 1 hour a day starting on Saturday. I do about 37 minutes on a exercise bike, 15 minutes on a step machine, and about 15 minutes of stretching. I have been keeping my calorie intake between 1000-1500 calories a day by eating a yogurt for breakfast 120 calories, a frozen meal for lunch 280 calories and a salad 150 calories, a snack around 120 calories, dinner I alot between 500-600 calories and a sugar free jello snack before bed which has about 25 calories. I hav ehad NO soda which is my down fall. I am addicted to Dr Pepper and all the empty calories does not help me with the weight gain when I can drink between 500-1200 calories of soda a day!! But no soda this week at all. Just sugar free koolaid and diet dr pepper! I have lost a total of 5 lbs so far this week!!
