Operation Groundhog Day
Hello to all,
Getting back to the daily grind after traveling can be quite a chore. And usually the first thing to need a major overhaul is your eating cycle. when you are at home you know when and how you are going to eat. When youre on the road, sometimes the choice, convenience and desire isnt so easy to come by. I make a point to try to stick to the side salads and leafy menu selections whenever I stop off at a food joint, but sometimes, that voice (you know the one) just erupts in your head: "Hey! There it is! the last cheese danish cake doughnut with the blueberry glaze and chocolate candy spinkles! Its the last one left in the western hemisphere...you better take it. An hour from now you'll regret leaving it alone... and you know you want it"
Yep, I ate a doughnut (and it was damn tasty). But I made sure to just have the one and not beat myself up about it. My daily food plan allows for a range of 1300-1900 calories. Sunday I was on the low end of that scale, so that doughnut actually put me at my limit, and by the time I was done with all that driving, I was so tired I just went to sleep.
Then came Monday. Temptation, temptation, temptation. Usually stressful events put me in an eating mood, so naturally, Monday was stressful. I spent the whole day loading packages for shipment, fixing broken equipment,
