My friends list
veggies
Congratulations on your loss. I know you're proud! I wish I had some suggestions about eating healthy. I LOVE veggies and fruit, so I can't relate to not eating them. The biggest problem, it would seem, about eating a diet like yours is not getting enough fiber or vitamins. You can fix that by eating whole grain carbs, like oatmeal, and taking a multivitamin. As for dousing your veggies with fat to make them tasy, DON'T DO IT. The tiny gain you would get from eating the veg. is more than outweighed by the negative impact of the fat on your body. The same goes for salads that are made with iceberg lettuce, which has no nutritional value and does not fill you up.
I don't know if you can learn to love vegetables or not. It might help if I understood what kind of vegetables you have tried to eat. For instance, many people think they hate asparagus or brussel sprouts because they;ve only had ones from a can, which are NASTY. Have you tried grilling vegetables? I can't think of anything that tastes much yummier than grilled asparagus or grilled portabella mushrooms!
Try it!
I know what you mean....
When you say you hate veggies, I can completely relate. I have been living on bell peppers, green beans and asparagus since those are the only things I like that are on my plan. I agree with ashleyb; try a bunch of veggies that you haven't tried before or for a while and see what you think now. I have discovered that while I used to HATE broccoli, I can now tolerate it, even without a layer of cheese.
With fruits, have you tried any of the berries? They are rather expensive this time of year, but SUPER yummy and good for you. Not much can beat fresh blueberries or blackberries for taste, if you ask me! Good luck!

love suggestions like that
Try a new fruit or veggie a week - I like that! I do like fruits & veggies for the most part, but I'm so lazy when it comes to eating them..don't know how to explain it. DH has been in charge of keeping those in the house! One of my new years res. was to eat a fruit EVERY DAY and of all the major res I made that's probably been the hardest one to keep (shoudln't that be pretty EASY? Asking me to EAT? LOL). Congrats on hitting those 220's! Great loss so far - keep up the good work, and good luck finding the tips & tricks that will work for you!
