http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/emerging/comments/44568/slightly-discouraged-but-not-giving-up <p>I haven't lost a single pound since the beginning of the week.&nbsp; I'm not too happy about that but I do know that I'm not slipping up and eating too much or anything.&nbsp; It could possibly be an issue of constipation which has been quite an issue this week.&nbsp; </p> <p>I had a minor success though.&nbsp; I'm wearing a pair of Old Navy jeans that I bought a few weeks ago.&nbsp; They were too tight to be comfortable.&nbsp; I had to suck in to button them.&nbsp; Today though, they fit just right!&nbsp; Yay for mini successes!!</p> <p>So far, nobody has noticed my weight loss.&nbsp; I hope that they will after another 10 pounds or so.&nbsp; </p> <p>To keep myself motivated I joined a Weight Loss Challenge called &quot;Biggest Loser 2&quot;.&nbsp; The challenge goes on for 3 months.&nbsp; My goal was to lose 20&nbsp;pounds during the challenge.&nbsp; It started on&nbsp;June 23.&nbsp; If I meet my&nbsp;goal, I will have 26 pounds gone by&nbsp;September 23!&nbsp; &nbsp;Of course, exceeding the goal would be absolutely AWESOME!</p> <p>I just took my phen at 11:50.&nbsp; I meant to take it earlier but I was a ditz and forgot.&nbsp; I've been up since 4:30 this morning and I feel great so far.&nbsp; As late as I took my drugs, I will be up ALL NIGHTz!</p> <a href="http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/emerging/comments/44568/slightly-discouraged-but-not-giving-up">Comments(0)</a> 44568 Monday, December 5, 2005 21:00:13 Day Number 8 http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/emerging/comments/43310/day-number-8 <p>Officically I lost 9 pounds in the first week.&nbsp; I'm thrilled with the success I've had so far.&nbsp; Especially since I have had a 3-Day weekend of not so good eating:&nbsp; pizza on Saturday, Mexican on Sunday, left over Mexican for lunch on Monday, and ice cream (low fat no sugar added) and a slush too!</p> <p>I've noticed a few minor things already.&nbsp; A few pairs of pants seem looser.&nbsp; I have more energy.&nbsp; I'm just feeling better all around.</p> <p>Today I'm back to work and back on my 'normal' weekday track.&nbsp; Wish me well on my 2nd week!</p> <a href="http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/emerging/comments/43310/day-number-8">Comments(0)</a> 43310 Monday, December 5, 2005 22:07:10 Down 3 Pounds! http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/emerging/comments/41244/down-3-pounds <p>Yes, I'm aware that this is water weight but I'm still thrilled over the aspect of losing 3 pounds the first day!&nbsp; </p> <p>So, how did it go?&nbsp; Day 1 was pretty good.&nbsp; I had a good sized apple at around 2pm.&nbsp; It took me almost an hour to eat it all.&nbsp; For dinner I had a bowl of broccoli - about 2 cups.&nbsp; Later, I was hungry so I ate about 4 ounces of chicken breast and a cup of skim milk.&nbsp; </p> <p>How do I feel?&nbsp; Energized is one word for it.&nbsp;&nbsp; I really want this to work so that may be a part of it.&nbsp; I was SO proud of myself yesterday.&nbsp; I walked 6091 steps on my pedometer.&nbsp; That is more that I have EVER recorded on that thing!&nbsp; My goal for this week is 3000 - 5000 steps each day.&nbsp; I'm happy to see that I managed to achieve that goal on the very first day!</p> <p>Today is off to a good start.&nbsp; I'm drinking my second 32 ounce glass of water.&nbsp; OH...
