Once again, I didnt wake up for the gym this morning... Boo. But instead of whining about it on EP, I told myself that I would go after work. I've told myself that I'd go after work before, and never followed through. (Apparently I'm not holding myself too accountable lately) So anyways, I was planning on going to the gym after work, but at the same time, in the back of my mind I knew I was going to flake out. (This is horrible... that i'm actually admitting to this behavior) So anyways.... I got home and darted to my closet for my gym clothes. And.... I WENT TO THE GYM. Haha, I say that like it's a miracle or something, but today... it kind of was! I am so proud of myself! I know it's just a tiny step, and I know that I've been down this road 15232345 times before, but I feel proud for attempting to step in the right direction. It would jhave been super easy to put the gym off since my mom asked to take me out birthday shopping, but I set my priorities straight tonight. And today, my coworkers took me out to lunch for my birthday to Mexican of all places, and I ordered a chicken burrito and only ate half. I gladly would have eaten the whole thing, but I stopped at half. And didnt even take the other half home. :) Today was a good day for me. :)
Hopefully I can continue to make the right choice tonight when we go out for dinner!!!
Tomorrow is my birthday and my boyfriend wont tell me what he has planned.... We shall see!!!

Well, I was supposed to go to the gym this morning, but I bailed... again. WHY!!!! I'm so upset with myself. I am SO tired in the morning. I know it's because I go to bed so late, but I cant exactly go to bed early when I work from 8-5 and then go to school from 6-10. Luckily that is only on Tuesdays, but still. The rest of the week nights I'm up late with friends or working around the house... I'm frustrated. I was doing so good-- going to the gym every other day, and now I'm back to what I always do... slacking off. I really need to do this. I WANT to do this... Why can't I sacrfice being tired  in order to reach my goals??
Boo... in a bad mood. :(

Wow Oh Wow

Ok, so I have totally neglected EP for the longest time. :( Sorry Everyone!! Anyways. Everything has been good. I have been so busy, I barely have time to breathe, hence the lack of updates. For the most part, everything has been going well. I've been taking phen still and it has completely banished my hunger. I'm not sure it's a great thing because... Sometimes I'll realize that I havent eat an entire bite at 4pm. Yeah, I cant  believe that either. Maybe some of it has to do with this wretched heat as well. Though with all of this craziness, the last week has been pretty bad. Not only have I forgotten to take the Phen a few days, I've also had pizza and McDonals. =/ That is why I am back today!!!
Since I've started taking Phen, I havent been doing WW because I hardly eat anything, therefore there is nothing to track! But I realize that this is probably not doing my body any good. And I am going to continue to take the Phen, but eat my daily points. I also have not been going to the gym (thanks heat!!) So I need to be extra careful about what I eat. I really hope that tomorrow will be cooler and that I can make it to the gym. I'm not making excuses, but I cant work out in this weather. I WILL NOT GIVE UP though. I am here for the long run, and even though I've been on this program WAY too long to have only lost 10 pounds, I'm sticking through it. Here is to starting over once again, and trying to do it even better this time.
PS... another reason why I'm here again today is because I saw on one of my old friends myspace her new pictures. She used to weigh 199 pounds, and now she weights 152.... She's only 5'2" so it makes a HUGE difference. She did it through WW and I am SO jealous, but it just proves to me that I can do this too.
I hope that everyone else has been having lots of great luck and been able to stick with it better then I have! Off to catch up on tons of your blogs!!

Hey!!

Hey guys! It's been a few days since an update, but without weighing in every day, it's harder! Things are going fabulous though. Phentermine really decreases my appetite and I love it! I never thought that decreased appetite would actually work for me (because I eat even when I'm not hungry!) But it totally has! And I don't eat nearly as much. In fact, my skinny minnie boyfriend eats more then I do. I'm not just counting on Phen to do all the work for me though. I work out (hard core!) every other day, and I LOVE it. Gives me so much energy, and I'm finally feeling better about myself. I feel like I'm starting to see results. Even my boyfriend told me that he could tell that I was losing weight and firming up! Music to my ears!!!

HOORAY!

I lost 3 pounds this week! I am beyond proud of myself. I made it to the gym 3 times, drank TONS of water, and stayed within points!!! I set my goals, and I kept to them! So so sooo happy!! :D

Day 1 on Phentermine

So I woke up and took the Phentermine, went to the gym, came back and now I'm, eating the most splendid breakfast of fresh blueberries, an english muffin, and a small site of grits. I wasnt hungry after the work out, but I never really am, and I can't see that the Phentermine has already kicked in. Though I do feel a little jitterish. It reminds me of when I was taking Xenadrine in high school. My mind would be running a million miles a minute and then my body would be all slow and tired. Then it would switch. I actually love the feeling. Xenadrine worked really well for me. It put me at my lowest weight, I was always energetic and I was so creative. I'm pretty sure that it was a high from the ephedra. Embarrasing to admit, but I loved being on it. Hopefully this is sort of the same. :)
Last night, our friends from up north came down and stayed with us. We went out for sushi. I tried shashimi (sp??) and it was nice. The texture was a little funny, but i think i could get used to it. I had chicken. Probably not the best choice, but I only ate like 1/4 of it. Then we went out for a drink, and I had a pina colada. Oh.My.Gosh. Best pina coloda ever. I'm sure it had enough points to last me a week, but we were celebrating and it was worth it.
Anyways, off to work!!!!!

I had my follow up appointment with my doctor and everything is great. I have perfect cholesterol, perfect blood pressure, thryroid, liver, kidneys are all in tip top shape (thank goodness for all of that. So she started me on Phentermine. I start it tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to a jumpstart. I'm going to continue to work out at the VERY least 3 times a week and stick to my points system. I should really start seeing results soon. I'm so excited :)

Time to fess up

Ok, so I finally graphed my weight because apparently it wasnt just water or salt. I really did gain like... 5 pounds somehow. I am so so so mad because I have been working out like a mad women. Doing cardio 3 times a week, and keeping within my points range. (With the exception of this weekend which was horrible.) I really don't know what to do... except to keep working out, and keep watching what I eat. Something has to give, right?? I have my follow up with my doctor tomorrow. She has my blood results, so maybe she can give me some answers. I'm looking forward to it.
Does anyone have suggestions/ideas for lunches?? I have the worst time at lunch! I rarely bring a lunch and I end up buying a sandwich or something, but it's getting expensive! What do you guys bring to the office for lunch??
I hope everyone is having better luck then me!

Gym Day 2

Well, I opted to give my body a break on Tuesday. I'm glad that I did. I kept waking up in the middle of the night because I was so sore. I dont think I've ever been that sore from working out. I did manage to get up this morning for my second class though :D I'm so proud of myself. It took a lot to get out of bed so early... especially since I was so sore. But I did it, and it was worth it!
Okay, so question... Do you guys weigh yourself after you work out or before?? I have been weighing myself after my workout, and my weight increases!!! I dont understand! I have been sticking to my points every day, and doing 45 mins of cardio! Do you usually gain weight after working out? I am drinking water throughout the workout, but not 1.5 pounds of it!!
Ugg, this weight loss journey has been so frustrating. All of the ups and downs and inbetweens... I'm not graphing my weight because... I'm mad that since I've been working so hard it's still going up. I'm going to continue to work out and wait for it to go back down until I graph it.

Owww!

I am so sore today. That good, accomplished, proud sore though... This morning, I had to force myself out of bed to get up. It was so hard, and now I am so tired. But I feel good. I'm so happy that I joined the gym. There is a spinning class tonight at 6:15. I want to take it, but oww, my muscles hurt sooo bad. Maybe they will be better at the end of the day. We'll see!
