Is anybody reading this?

If so, I could really use some advice on healthy eating. Let me start by saying NO TOFU. Yuck.

But ... I've heard more meals with less food is healthier than fewer meals and more food (per meal).

We aren't going to "low-carb" (at least not "obviously" so), so while low-carb recipes are welcome, they won't be used exclusively.

We've done modified McDougall before ... but won't go totally meatless.

So, within those parameters... help?  

Ok.

I didn't keep it up. I regained. I got up to 222.

HOWEVER.

Wednesday morning I weighed and saw 219. I haven't weighed since then, but I will in the morning, to see if I've continued the progress. I got a good bit of exercise this last couple days.  

Down a little!

216 this morning... now if I can just keep this up!!   

A whole month.

A whole month since my last post... and no progress.

Ugh.

As of today, I have begun Walking Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone!   

It just seems like...

...45 minutes of exercise *should* burn more than just a few calories. Ugh.

Ah, well. Every little bit helps :)  

Scale Back Alabama

I may have mentioned that four of us (me and three relatives) are doing Scale Back Alabama  - it started last Monday and today was the end of the first week.

Our results - for the four of us - a LOSS of 22.6 POUNDS! Woo-hoo! (This is a 2.5% loss.)

Good start today!

I got up and went swimming laps at the community center. Did the equivalent of 2 miles walking.

And only 342 calories in my breakfast.

AND I measured and have lost an inch (since last October) in my waist! Yay!  

I weighed this morning anyway...

I didn't want to wait any more to find out if I seemed to be making any progress. Well, I set it up 3# to make it more like the hospital ones, and it came up...
