OH NO!!!

Within the last month I have gained roughly TEN pounds! Here is why...

I use to be a restaurant manager...12 hour days always on my feet, always moving around. This little bit of "exercise" was something I obviously took for granted...because since I have been working at a desk job for the past month, I've clearly let myself go.

Mind you...I was no where near thin prior to this...I'm now at 229.5. The BIGGEST I've EVER been and it's horrifying and humiliating.

My best friend is getting married in a few months...I'm in the wedding and the other bridesmaids are much thinner than me. I don't want to stand out like a big, fat, sore thumb - I want to blend in (I've never been one to be the center of attention)!

I'm going to be honest here...I'm not going to put some fake story about how I want to lose weight for my health, blah blah, because that's really not the main reason. I'm in my 20s...I want to be beautiful and as it is in America, beautiful = thin.

Don't get me wrong...I used to ride my bike at least once a week (back when I was doing the restaurant thing) & we rode 10 miles per ride...I don't want to say it was a piece of cake but it didn't make me want to KILL myself! I went on a, maybe 5 mile ride, last week and it was AWFUL. That alone makes me want to become more active because I don't want to huff & puff when taking a bike ride! So there ya go, I guess being active helps when losing weight and it also promotes good health...so I'm not totally vain, just partially.

There ya have it...I want to lose about 80 lbs total...obviously not by the wedding (which is in 4 months) but when all is said & done...I would love to be 80 lbs thinner!
Ok, but lets set a reasonable goal for the wedding...we'll say, 2-3 lbs a week, so lets go with 40-50lbs by the wedding. I do have to be careful about all this because once I get that dress fitted and fixed, I won't have time (or the extra cash) to get it fitted & fixed again!
