Here I am again!
I'm back! Again! Well, after doing so well for about 3 months, I fell off the wagon in what can only be described as spectacular style. I ate my way through Morrisons, Tesco and a vast array of other retailers until the shelves were empty but my belly was full! Eek! What a trip. Not one I'd recommend. I am *so* surprised I haven't overdosed on sugar. However, my arse is now the size of two continents and where once I had a chin, I now have a fat pillow. S'lovely. NOT!
Ha! Well, there you go - you can take a look at the damage this bingefest did to the scales and weep for me.
So, today is the fourth day of my new year regime (I don't want to say diet as it immediately sets you up for failure). Status report: still focussed. I have been following SW but as money is tight, I won't be attending class. I've got to say, I have eaten absolutely delicious food this week. I've even had that moment at work whilst preparing my lunch, with a colleague saying 'I thought you were on a diet!' on seeing what I've got.
My week's menu went something like this:
- Tuesday - Beans on toast for lunch (yawn)
- Chicken Stir Fry for dinner
- Wednesday - Chicken Stir Fry leftovers for lunch
- Ham and veg frittata for dinner
- Thursday - Frittata leftovers for lunch
- Spicy bolognese with pasta for dinner
- Friday - Spicy bolognese leftovers with jacket tattie for lunch
- Chicken and Chorizo Paella for dinner
My task for tomorrow is to put together a menu for next week - keeping within a budget (the spondoolies are sparse as a sparse thing this month). Keeps me busy I suppose.
