Day II, not so good already.

I can already say, I do not agree with Paul McKenna when he says to buy all of your favorite foods and make that your grocery list.

I did this yesterday... result? Me binging as soon as I got home from the grocery store and still binging today since I have this stuff in the HOUSE!

I was doing great when I had normal, healthy options at home.  I just can't trust myself around junk.  How sad is that?

I am NOT giving up.  Just getting the junk out of the house. Modifying what he says to suit my own needs.

On the plus side, I signed up for the gym yesterday.  I am an EMT and was informed that we get a free membership to the rec center that is only a few blocks from my house!

This is such great news as I have decided to do the Couch to 5K program.  I have always wanted to be a runner and I know this will help me get off on the right foot.

I Can Make You Thin

Did anyone watch this last night on TLC!? I thought it was awesome!

I have been studying intuitive eating for a couple of years now (but obviously not practicing it)  And I Can Make You Thin really seemed to follow those guidelines!

I am half tempted to throw my calorie counting out the window and give this an honest try for two weeks.

Last night, Paul McKenna told us about the 4 Golden Rules and here they are!

When you're hungry, EAT!

Eat what you want. (When you deprive yourself of certain foods, that is all you begin to think about it) So true!

Eat consiously, no distractions.  No TV, Internet, reading, etc while eating because you won't know how much you eat.  Also- eat slowly, stop and savor each bite- chewing about 20 times!

STOP when you think you are full.

Over the next weeks Paul McKenna will be going over MORE techniques and I can't wait to see what they are!

There is also alot of free and useful information on his website, including the 4 Golden Rules!

Enjoy!

Hello!

Well- this is my first post ever to my new blog.  I thought I would give a brief description on the lifestyle plan I will be doing.

FIrst of all, I will eat 1500 calories per day.  I chose this because I am still nursing my ten month old.  When I quit nursing, I may go down in calories a bit depending on how I am losing.

Secondly- I am going to make a consious effort to get my butt off the couch.  I have been inactive for far too long and I am SO out of shape!!

I will begin doing an intentional form of exercise three times per week as well.  Whether its walking for 20 min 3 x a week.  Or going swimming three times a week.  I need to do this to get a routine established.  And I will definately be adding weights to the mix at a later date.  I don't want to go to gung ho at first and run out of steam though!!
