We'll I went ahead a bought a new yoga dvd on Amazon.  I didn't get the one that is hiding out somewhere in my home,  just so I won't be irritated when it finally turns up. 

I did get a set by the same instructor though because I really enjoyed her dvds that I do have.

Really even I could not convince myself even though these were 100 calories or less that this was a wise choice.  Really my excuse shall be at my utter disgust that Dick won Big Brother.  

Where would you hide?

If you were a Yoga DVD?  I am looking to refresh myself on yoga before I join any classes at our yoga center.  Now I have found the one for relaxation, but the other one?  Apparently it has run off to Canada for a cooler summer.  I have found the case, and have looked everywhere I thought I could have just laid the dvd.

Now the best way to find this dvd?  Order it again on Amazon.

You know that week?  That week you can't wait to get on the scale because you are CONVINCED you have lost like at least 3lbs?

Then you step on and it's a lousy 1lb.  You look suspiciously at the scale, get off and kick it.   Then you get back on and it has not magically corrected itself as I assumed it would.

Now I know the healthy way to lose weight is 1-2lbs a week BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.  But I am know I am talking to people who understand that feeling of disappointment that even though you lost you didn't lose as much as you thought.

Stupid, uncooperative scale.  Hmpf. 

Watermelon

Really if it's a fruit and you eat a tad more than you should it really should not cause a tummy ache.  It's fruit!

I had a discussion today with some friends on another forum about how us Southern folk like to salt our watermelon.  The were completely disgusted by this.

As there is pizza AND donuts in the breakroom.

Exercise ... Blech

I'm a little fortunate that I can lose weight without having to exercise.  The last time I lost 40lbs I did nary a thing.  But I'd like this time to be different, I'm getting older and I need to have my heart and muscles in shape. 

Once I start to see results I get motivated and want to exercise, but until then isn't lying on the couch much more attractive?

Our local yoga center has an 8 week class beginning at the end of this month I think I'll have to check it out.

Evil snacks masquerading as low fat

So I did find a new scale this past weekend, I'm not a daily weigh in kind of person so I'm waiting until my Friday weigh in to see how it works.  You shall hear the shrieking if it's another dud.

I discovered the decliciousness (that word doesn't look right does it?) of Quakers Wee Rice Cakes, in caramel corn.  Only 60 calories.  Well only 60 calories if you stick to the serving size.

Pass by the kitchen ... grab a handful

Get a drink of water .... grab a handul

Wander into the vacinity of the kitchen ... grab a handful

I am no longer allowed to buy these, they are a little like crack with a tasty flavoring.

 

Sucky Scale Part Deux

Okay I know I bitched about the scale last week, and managed to not do a thing about it.  But I MUST go this weekend and find a new one.

This morning I got three different readings, THREE!  I got each of them at least twice, so I just went with the one in the middle.  I'm going to have to post a link to this craptacular product so no one else buys it.

I took some pictures this morning, I'll have to post them this evening.  Last time I lost my weight I was sad I didn't document my loss in pictures, so I'm going to make sure I do it this time.

 

CLA

I started CLA supplements this week after reading various weight loss forums and such.  Hopefully combined with my reduced calorie diet I can start to see some significant changes.

I am taking the Tonalin CLA, here's some info for anyone who is curious.

Research indicates that CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) may change body composition by reducing body fat and increasing or preserving lean muscle mass.

Derived from natural safflower oil, CLA inhibits lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fat from our diets. Once the fat is broken down, it is stored in the body.
