Watch this space
Its been slow going for myself, MissBehaving, and caloriecounter (we joined EP together). We're kinda at the point where changes start to happen or your goals kind of fade away. However, I know we can do this, so this is what I propose...
We weigh-in on Thursdays, which I think is great. Over this week, I think we should evaluate what we are doing to meet our weight loss goals. Then, next Thursday, February 14th, we should re-state our plans of action!
So, watch this space for developments...
Stick it to ya!
So, I keep a calendar and on the days I accomplish my fitness goals I get a little sticker. Today I ran out of little stars, so I was looking for new ones in my desk and could only find...cow stickers. I just thought the irony was worth noting.
Bump in the Road
I hit a little bump in the road - I visited family this weekend and not only ignored my short term goals, but also had quite a bit of the home cookin'.
Here's the happy ending...I logged in today and saw a great inspirational story on a friend's blog and had some nice messages from last week's successful weigh-in. Thanks, guys, for helping me get back on track.
Practicing for Ice Bowl II
First I'd like to say 'Thanks!' to those of you who took a look at my blog and posted comments. It was really nice to see the support that is out there.
So, yesterday was my day off and I did enjoy staying up late watching movies and eating popcorn while the temperature dropped outside. But today its back to my plan of not eating after 8pm and a 30 minute walk. So, that's where practicing for Ice Bowl II comes in - I put on my thermals, and boots, and parka, etc. etc. and just went out into the icy chill that is gripping the Midwest. The benefits: It was totally gorgeous outside, my dogs got some fun (although I had to drop them off in the house after about 15 minutes - their paws were cold), and now I feel like a toughy.
I'm totally making chili and watching the Packer game tomorrow. If only I could be at Lambeau...Go Pack!
New Member
I'm a new member from Duluth, Minnesota.
My plan is to set small, achievable goals, and accomplish them one at a time. I'm currently working on losing the first eleven pounds by walking at least 30 minutes and not eating after 8pm six days a week. I'm on day five of this plan and so far so good - I believe that my pants fit ever so slightly better even if the scale is going up and down.
A friend and I decided to join extrapounds.com as extra incentive. Go caloriecounter!
