kicked off with a look at the scales - 1.25 lbs less than yesterday morning, so something is moving in the right direction!
brekkie as usual muesli & prunes with a nice cup of tea.
resisted snacking through the am and had a seafood linguine for lunch with an innocent smoothie.
managed to resist snacking all afternoon by drinking squash :)
dinner time..... 3x Quorn cumberland sausages, tesco healthy living chips & beans

week 15 day 3
started the day with the usual muesli & prunes plus a glass of orange juice, followed at lunchtime by some potato wedges, chicken breast and carrots and snacked on a ww carrot cake slice and an innocent smoothie.
in the evening I had a pork chop with more wedges & carrots and kept any thoughts of further snacking at bay by drinking plenty of Robinsons pink grapefruit squash!

need to try and reign in a few points today to make up for going over yesterday. brekkie was sugar puffs & skimmed milk, lunch was a tuna nicoise salad with some chicken breast & baked crisps
for tea had a birds eye southern fried chicken breast with wedges and carrots.

week 15 day 1
today as usual is WI day (weigh-in), but not till 7pm this evening, so although my food tracker log ended for the week last night, the results at the scales will not be known until later so good behaviour is as important today as ever if not more so.
kicked off the day with muesli & prunes with skimmed milk and a cup of tea
spent all morning in the vet's with our bitch who delivered 6 puppies so was starving by the time I got to the office - popped to the co-op and grabbed a pack of 2 salmon fillets (260g) which was 9 points oven-baked with olive oil, but also had some toast with peanut butter & jam too.
skipped the gym for the first Tuesday in 3 months, since I had too much work to do by the time I got in to justify leaving early as usual :(
weigh-in went 'ok' - lost half a pound since last week, pretty dismal considering how well behaved I have been all week, but it's something I guess. Also, I do tend to get results overhanging more than just a single week, so I may see some of the good behaviour showing in next weeks results.
after weigh-in went for our regular Tuesday night kebab & chips and had some bread & condensed milk for supper.

week 14 day 7
last day of the week for me, and things are going pretty well.
brekkie of muesli, dried apricots and skimmed milk saw me through to lunch of roast veg pilaff & tilapia (last portion of this left!), more apricots and some melon and then nothing but cups of tea until home and stir-fry with king prawns.
it's 8pm, just finished dinner and I've used just 18.5 points so far!
I'm going to add a couple of beers and a curly wurly to finish the day nicely in credit

week 14 - the weekend.....
so, here it is - my weakest part of the week
Saturday
started the day with a fry-up (oops!) before going to shop for ingredients and prepare a roast vegetable pilaff (from the new weightwatchers autumn cookbook) with tilapia fillet for a late lunch and made the kids some chilli & rice.
after lunch settled down to watch the Grand Prix qualifying and resolved to be good by drinking squash instead of beer : )
after the GP qualifying seelted down to watch the rugby world cup final. The less said about the game the better really, and my resolve crashed somewhat too, as I got through a bag of dried fruit & nuts, 6 date & walnut cake slices, a curly wurly and a pint of Magners :(

healthy breakfast - just muesli & skimmed milk, then off to the gym on my bike (and Claire too!). cycled the long way to the gym and went slow, both for Claire's benefit - 14 mins (my best time taking on the traffic at Junction 9 is 8 mins), did a decent workout and cycled back at 17.5 mins for a fry-up!
in the afternoon I watched the Brazilian GP (don't ask - what a crap weekend for British sport!) and snacked on some fresh fruit, and had leftover pilaff & tilapia from yesterday for dinner.
chilled out in the evening with 3 G&Ts

lunch = 18 points
dinner = 6.5 points

Week 14, day 4
Friday
started with what is becoming my 'usual' breakfast - 50g muesli, 50g dried apricots, 50g prunes, 1/4 pint skimmed milk, plus logged another 1/4 pint to see me through cups of tea for the day.
got 3 chicken breasts from the co-op for lunch, cooked them and ate 2 with 4 slices of bread and some hellmanns light, and gave the spare one to the dogs!
went to the pub for a couple of beers and 'end-of-week-chat' after work, then chinese takeaway for dinner (whoops!)
breakfast = 5.5 points
lunch = 10.5 points
dinner = 8.5 points
snacks = 9.5 points
total points = 34
activity points = 1
slightly bad day, 4 points adrift :(

Week 14, Tuesday to Thursday
Tuesday - ate reasonably well today, no alcohol and went to the gym - didn't do as much in the gym as usual though, but tired I guess!

Wednesday - a tricky day with 2 meetings in central London. days like this are usually disastrous for me as far as sticking to points is concerned, but I was determined to make it work today, so I had a substantial low GI breakfast and took snacks with me for the train! From arrival at Waterloo until back there after both meetings I had nothing but tea, and grabbed a salad & some chicken from M&S to eat on the train home. Once home I didn't need any dinner due to the late lunch, so I just had half a bottle of wine and a ww dessert and felt good about my resolve!

lunch - 13 points
dinner - 6.5 points
total points = 30
activity points = 3
Thursday - in the office all day, the best environment for controled eating of healthy foods! As usual popped round to the Co-op to see what's on offer or reduced due to date! Got a couple of skinless salmon steaks worth 7.5 points and has them with some bread and light mayo. in the evening Claire knocked up a 6.5 point beef stir fry with noodles.

getting back on track.....
so, after 10 weeks I was within 1lb of my first stone, but I sabotaged myself in week 11 and didn't move any nearer, and in week 12 it got worse and I moved backwards by 0.5lb.
week 13
Tuesday - 26.5 points, including 1 can of Stella
Wednesday - 48 points, including McDonalds lunch & restaurant 3 course dinner with wine, beer & spirits :(
Thursday - 47.5 points, including danish, catered sandwiches and tapas :(
Friday - 31.5 points, icluding chinese takeaway, pint of Cider and 2 pints of Stella :(
Saturday - 35.5 points including toffee popcorn, chocolate and 3 pints of beer :(
Sunday - 37 points, including crisps, 2 beers and 5 G&T's :(
Monday - 24 points, cramming for weigh-in but still managed 2 G&T's :(
weigh in result = 2.5lbs lost!
I have to say I was shocked, I really expected (and deserved) a gain, after 3 consecutive weeks of bad behaviour and only suffering a 0.5lb gain in the first 2, I fully expected to be hit this week.
well, despite feeling it was undeserved, I quickly turned to feeling good about achieving the milestone of the first stone lost, and am feeling more motivated to keep the momentum going and keep the potential gains of the past 3 weeks from catching up with me by being extra good from here on!

going pear-shaped.....
so, week 10 was grim but I appeared to get away lightly with no gain at the scales, but all too often the punishment for bad behaviour turns up the following week, so I was determined to head off any potential delayed gain with extra good behaviour.....
week 11
Tuesday - 27.5 points, pretty good behaviour - substantial breakfast, small lunch, small dinner
Wednesday - 25.5 points, balanced day and no alcohol
Thursday - 31 points, oops! large lunch & large dinner :(
Friday - 29.5 points, better and still no alcohol!
Saturday - 42.5 points, OMG - McDonalds, Krispy Kremes and 2 pints of Stella (hangs head in shame)
Sunday - 42.5 points, 2 bottles of wine and a pint of stella :(
Monday - 28.5 points, looks like a rescue attempt, but sadly includes another bottle of wine :(
weigh in result = added 0.5lb
I think the disastrous falling off the wagon over the weekend deserved more than a 0.5lb punishment to be honest - I got away lightly on this - time to get it together......
