All I have to say is...what in the world did I think I was doing? I must have lost my mind. LOL I'm telling you, I must have been seriously delusional. Long story short, I went to the gym again yesterday (yeah for me), was feeling good and decided that it would be a good idea for me to sign up today for a cardio-kickbox class at the gym. WRONG!!! I was so excited. I was pumped. The class was packed with people waiting to get in. I thought to myself...wow...maybe I've found a class that I can actually enjoy. Let me tell you, by the 4th upper-cut...I was outta there!!! Woaaaaa....what in the %$$&^%!!!
I slinked out of that class after 7 minutes and went upstairs to the elliptical trainer where I belong!!! Let me tell you, I was soooo glad to see that machine. I don't know how some of you ladies do it. Between the running, spinning,. pilates...bless you...one and all!!!! LOL
Well, in my quest to find a class that I actually enjoy so that I can maybe skip the elliptical and/or treadmill one day, I signed up for the Hip-Hop Funk class tomorrow!!! I may not go as that will make three days in a row at the gym and I planned to go back on Wednesday. If I feel up to it I will try it. If I can't make it, I will take the Hip-Hop Funk class on Thursday.
Say a Prayer!!!

LMAO
Was it that bad? Girl I could imagine you now sneaking out. The class sounds fun though. I want to start boxing or some type of martial arts but I didn't plan on starting until after I reach my goal! THe Hip Hop class sounds fun as well. I'm sure you will like that one. I wish I could find a gym that offers special classes to outside people who just want to take the class and not be a member. Anyhow I hope you have a good week!
Seriously, was it really that bad? You must have been in an intense cardio kick boxing class! I think the hip hop funk one sounds good too though. Actually, I went to a tae bo class two weekends ago and thought it was really good while I was there, but then the next day my butt was really sore -- I think from all the back kicks and roundhouse and others than utilize muscles that I obviously never otherwise use. Anywho, thanks for making me crack up! Go you for going to the gym; it really doesn't matter whether it's elliptical or a class or whatever -- you still got yourself there!
PS: Next time, try a spinning class. That's what I've been doing lately. :-D Can't wait to see what you say about that one!
Danielle, sounds like you had a taste of the cardio junkie. Classes like kickbox cardio, spin, step, etc are really intense cardio classes (as you now know ). Don't shy away from them just find you own pace. The first time I tried to keep up with class I almost passed out. I had to work up to it and you will to. Before you know it you'll go from the back of the room to the front, to instructor!!! I can see you now teaching kickbox cardio...go Dani...go Dani...1 and 2 and 3, 4...KICK!!!!
Girl I know how you feel being in a class and you are there going thru the motions thinking what in the HELL am I doing? Girl I hope you find a class that you enjoy!
You sound like one of my friends. We took this hip hop class and I looked around and she was gone. Those classes get easier, stick with it. Before you know it you will be in there for 30 mins. :o)
