I love my group fitness class!
I attended the first of my team fitness classes this morning and absolutely loved it! It's a group of really nice ladies and they were all friendly to us newcomers. We did core exercises and then worked with a partner of the machines. We alternated doing upper and lower body exercises and went to the eight different machines twice. For example I did lat extensions while my partner did squats and then we switched before moving on to the next 'station'. I can't wait for Friday's class!
I even went back to the gym with my little man after school and did an hour and a half of treadmill and elliptical. I have been stretching out all night since my legs are tighter than heck,
I am so positive about this group fitness program and cannot wait to see the results!

Met with my former personal trainer today
I start the 12 week fitness program tomorrow but did a session with my former trainer today . She'll be teaching the team fitness group! I really like her but I swear I felt like throwing up at the end of the work out today! I forgot how hard I used to push it last summer. I was quickly and painfully reminded. You know the feeling when you're muscles are just shaking?! I felt that!
I am extremely excited about starting the team fitness program in the morning!! It's three days a week and should whip me back into shape. I will continue doing at least an hour and a half of cardio per day in addition because my son loves going to the gym after school and it's a habit for us as of late.
My current BMI is 28%, so not where I want it to be. I know it can be less and I will get it down! Also my gym scales has me two pounds heavier than my home scales so I'll just keep using the home scales, lol!

I could just live on smoothies
Just whipped up a fresh plum and nectarine smoothie - YUM! I also added some vanilla flavored protein powder. I can't get enough of smoothies. What a tasty and easy way to get my daily serving of fresh fruits. I cannot wait until mango is afforadable.
I have not tried any sort of veggie smoothie yet but I bet there are some good ones out there.

Working out with friends is fun!
Today I went as a guest of my friend Lindsay to a Pi Yo class. It was a lot of fun! I realize just how unflexible I am, especially through my back and shoulders. It was a very nice workout and I was happy to spend time with someone I like a lot. Thank you, my friend!

TEAM Fitness at LifeTime
So I saw my old trainer at the gym today. She looks so cute with her new set of boobies! I was telling her about how I wanted to do a group class but was afraid to go by myself (so silly of me). She tells me she is teaching this TEAM Fitness class and that I should do it. I am all over it! I am starting next week! We meet MWF at 9:00am. (sorry walking buddies) . I am totally pumped!

Walking with Friends
It's really nice to have friends who live close! I went walking with Linz and Sabrina this morning. It was a nice walk and great conversation. I could have went around a ton of more times and can't wait until I can bring Riley.

Goal Poster
I just printed out a goal poster and have taped it next to the vanity. It's an April calendar with before and after photos from my weight loss last summer. I added "you've done it before!!" as well. I will place a sticker on the days I've worked out.
I'm very visual so I am hoping that this will be a source of motivation for me.
Now, off to mow the lawn.

Burnin' calories!
I burnt almost 750 calories at the gym yesterday! I love it when I get lost in my music and the time flies by.
I really want to join a group fitness class but am being a chicken about going by myself. Very silly for someone as outgoing as I am and it's not like I would be attending a coffee/chat session.
I also need to get back to the weights. Just cardio is not going to get me to my goal, which I admit is set pretty high.

Worst part of my day
The worst part of my day is over. It is the part of the day when I get changed into my gym clothes. Gone are the days of just grabbing a pair of shorts and a tank out of the dresser. Now I stand there in front of the mirror to make sure the seams aren't actually ripping. I can see the extra weight bulging through my shirt and it just grosses me out! Damn that back fat! I can also feel the extra weight in my stomach, butt and thighs. I feel it when I am walking and am very conscious of the sick feeling it gives me.
But! I know I can drop these twenty pounds, I just know I can! I have done it before!
I am off to pick up the kiddo from school and then heading to LifeTime.
