The girls will be going back to school in 13 days and I'm ready to jump back into my workout routine. I've taken enough of a break and I'm ready to get my weight loss moving again. Yes, 103lbs lost is a HUGE accomplishment, but I still have 70lbs to go and I'm determined to get as many of them off as possible, before my new book gets published.
Sooooo, I've jumped back in today and I will begin posting my daily exercise, fruits & veggies and water intake on here again. Here is what I've accomplished so far today:
I am looking forward to seeing the scales start to move down again. I've been sitting at 220 for so long that I'm not sure if my scales will even go below that. LOL! At least I know that I am capable of maintaining my weight loss. Of course I'd prefer to be at my goal weight before feeling good about maintaining, but at least I'm not going up. :-)
Hi everyone. I'm still here. I haven't been posting as often as I use to, but I'm hoping to remedy that in about 3wks, when the big girls go back to school.
We just got back from a week long vacation on Tybee Island and we all have the tan lines to prove it. LOL! I've updated my profile picture with one from our trip. I can't believe what a difference I can see in pictures. That dress is an 18, where I use to wear 28/30!
I've also been busy on the first book of a series. It keeps me busy when the children don't.....which isn't really a lot. LOL! Hopefully I can get it completed once school starts back and I only have one little munchkin home all day.
Ok, I just wanted to check in with everyone. If anyone is ever interested in what's going on you can check out my blog, Christie's Thoughts. It's updated pretty regularly.
Hi all. It's been a while since I've posted on here, but I'm still going strong. There for a few weeks I was on a diet break. I just couldn't stomach the thought of one more day of exercising to death and watching what I was eating. I was, basically, burnt out. So I took a diet break and focused more on the rest of me and the me that loves to write.
I have 27 days until my vacation and I am thoroughly looking forward to that. I am back on the WW program and actually managed to maintain perfectly during those weeks of my break. Now I just need to get back into my workout routine and see if I can get a few more pounds off before vacation. If I don't, then that's ok too.
I hope everyone is having a great day. It is absolutely beautiful here this morning. Blue skies and sunshine can remedy any problem. These last few weeks have been super busy for me. DH & I had our 13th anniversary on the 9th and then Dh had his 31st birthday on the 19th. We have been so busy. I've been writing my fingers off in order to save for my very first tattoo and I am now ready to get it. YAY!
I ended up with a stomach bug this past week and I felt horrible. Poor DH had it too. We were a sight to see that's for sure.
The weight loss is continuing. YAY! After a few weeks of nothing I am now steadily going down a little bit at a time. I'd prefer a little more each time but I won't complain since I was at a standstill for so long. What seems to be working for me is one week on the Wendie Plan and then the next week on the WW plan. Alternating weeks has really given my metabolism a boost apparently. I'll just wait and see how it plays out. I'm still holding out hope that I will be 199 by vacation in July. Fingers crossed!!
It's a new month. I love Spring. Unfortunately, it's freezing this weekend. So much for wearing nuce Spring outfits for Easter.
So far I have been on the Wendie Plan for 2 wks and I am down 3lbs. Not bad at all since I've been stuck at one weight for two months and now I'm finally below it. So I will be sticking with this plan for as long as it continues to work. I've also cut my workout routine down to only one HEAVY day and then 3 light days instead of 4 heavy days. It seems that I was working out too hard and eating too little and that caused my body to rebel. So hopefully this plan change will help my body feel better about losing the weight I want it to lose. HOPEFULLY.
Oh goodness, I didn't realize that it had been so long since I updated on here. Sorry about that everyone! Things are going fine here. The weather has been soooooo beautiful here that we are spending most of our free time outdoors.
DH & I are creating our own little backyard retreat so that is keeping us busy. We bought a new grill, set the outside furniture there, strung up white lights and even dug our own backyard firepit with shovels all by ourselves. Then we built a small wall around the top of the firepit with beautiful river rocks. It is looking NICE back there.
As for me, the weight loss is still stalled. But I think I've come to terms with it a little more. I decided to try the Wendie Plan this week so today is day three. That means tomorrow is my HIGH points day. My concern is that I don't think I'll be able to eat that many points in one day. Seems like a LOT of food. I guess I'll see tomorrow though. HOPEFULLY, this week will be enough to jump start the weight loss again.
Also, DH has been switched to 4 days a week at 10 hrs a day at work. Which means he will always be off on Fridays. THAT means that I'm going to get him to go to the gym with me every Friday for some heavy duty weight training. Once a week shouldn't hurt a thing and it might even help me tone up this extra skin that I have after losing so much. At least that's what I hope.
So far, so good today. I just finished up my 45mins on the treadmill and I had a yummy fruit smoothie and a banana for breakfast. A great way to start the day!
45mins on the treadmill
4 servings of water so far
4 servings of fruit so far
Well I got hit with a headache and lovely AF showed up today. She wasn't expected until tomorrow. BLAH. Anyway, there will be no more exercise for me today. At least I got the treadmill in before it all started up.
Has anyone heard of The Wendie Plan? If you have tried it what did you think about it? I'm considering trying it out for 2 wks or so if I see no weight loss next Monday. I figure it can't hurt to try. At worst I'll gain.
I didn't do anything on the workout front yesterday. Well nothing except working in the yard and that's not as hard as my workout is. I always do my weigh-ins on Mondays and yesterday was no different. My weight has not changed in a month. I'm very unhappy about that. I worked hard last week. I worked out 4 days and it was about an hour and a half of working out each of those 4 days. You would think that would have made some sort of difference yesterday.
So I was feeling BLAH and didn't do anything at all yesterday that would constitute a workout.
But today is a different day. I think I will try to get up and get moving in a few minutes. I will jump on the treadmill at 8am just like I did all those days last week. Then around 10am I'll get the rest of my workout done. Then this afternoon I'll be out in the yard cleaning up. I'm still feeling BLAH and a little down but hopefully by the end of the day I'll feel better. All I want to do is get out of the 220's. Sheesh!
45mins on treadmill-DONE!
100 squats
80 second plank
60 side crunches ea. side
200 stomach crunches
100 outer leg lifts ea. left
150 inner leg lifts ea. leg
50 butt lifts
6 servings of water so far
6 servings of fruits & veggies
Of course I'm not going to give up. I've come way to far to ever even consider giving up. I just have to whine and have myself a pity party from time to time when the scales don't move. Oh and I DO change up my workout routines every so many weeks, just in case. I up my reps, I add new exercises, etc. It's just annoying at times.
So yesterday I decided to take a day off since I worked out so hard Monday & Tuesday. It was nice but my day was a little slow since I didn't fill the morning with working out. Today I jumped back in. I figure my body might need a day in the middle of the week to recoup from working out this hard. So I will workout Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. That will be 4 days of work and 3 days of rest.......well if you call dealing with all the children and DH on the weekends REST. LOL.
45mins on treadmill
50 pushups
100 squats
80 second plank
50 butt lifts
100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
150 inner leg lifts ea. leg
50 side crunches ea. side
200 stomach crunches
3 servings of water so far
1 serving of fruits & veggies so far
Thanks for all of the nice comments from everyone. It's so nice to read them all.
