Before After

Wednesday

Well, it's Hump Day again.  Wednesdays are always a slow day.  No one wants to plan anything for Wednesdays.  LOL!

I'm almost done with the first round of book edits.  They should be done by the weekend, if I can stay focused and the 3yr old leaves me be when I'm working.

Today's exercise report is simple... I did 100 stomach crunches and that was it.  I've got a major headache and I'm so sore all over this morning, but at least it's a good kind of sore.  So I was lucky to psh myself into doing 100 crunches instead of nothing at all.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Tuesday

Today I upped my side crunches... just to make it burn more.

  • 30 butt lifts ea. leg
  • 100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
  • 150 inner leg lifts ea. leg
  • 80 side crunches each side
  • 100 stomach crunches
  • 50 lower abdominal crunches
  • Monday

Here I am.  I'm not slacking on exercising, but I've been slacking on posting about it on here.  I'm currently working the first set of edits for my upcoming book release.  I'll be done with those by the end of the week and then starting the 2nd set of edits.  I always go through it twice and then send it on to my editor for her turn at it.  It's still on schedule for the October 31st release.  I'm excited, and ready to get it out there into the world with books 1 & 2.

If anyone is interested, here's the book trailer for A Twilight Abduction:

Now onto my workout for today:

    • yoga stretches
    • 30 pushups
    • 50 butt lifts ea. leg
    • 100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
    • 150 inner leg lifts ea. leg
    • 75 side crunches each side
    • 100 stomach crunches
    • 50 lower abdominal crunches

    Life gets so insanely busy.

I'm currently working on the bext book I'll be releasing on Halloween.  Well, it keeps me soooo busy these days.  Luckily, things will be slacking off the closer I get to October.

Last week my middle daughter came home from school with a nasty headcold.  Which she promptly and generously passed along to the 3yr old.  After that, the 3 yr old sent it on its way to ME!  OMG, I was sooooo sick for about 4 days last week and over the weekend.  I was doped up on cold meds the entire time.

I'm feeling much better this week, but I'm so busy writing to meet my deadline that I've only worked out twice (after only three times last week).  But, my deadline is September 1st to have all of the writing completed and I'm hopeful for less stress in September since it'll just be edits, rewrites, and advertising the entire month.

Anyway, I worked out Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  I *might* get around to it today if I get today's writing done early.  But tomorrow will be a bust as all Fridays are with my errands each week.

I'll be glad when the writing is done this weekend.  My hips are killig me from all the sitting for so many hours a day.  My body needs to be up and moving, stretching, working.... NOT constantly sitting.  That's what I get for pushing all of this so close to the deadline though.

    Still Tuesday

So, with only doing the gardening this morning, my day didn't "feel" right.  So I went ahead and did my workout... 2 hours late.

    • 40 squats
    • 30 pushups
    • 30 back leg lifts ea. leg
    • 60 side crunches ea. side
    • 100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
    • 125 inner leg lifts ea. leg
    • 150 arm exercises w/ 5lb weights
    • 100 stomach crunches
    • 50 lower abdominal bicycle exercises.

Now I'm hot, but I feel more energized than I did before.  Maybe I can actually get some work done now instead of sitting here feeling tired.

    Tuesday

Good morning.  It's another cool morning here in Georgia.  All of the windows are open and the fans are blowing in the house.

This morning I spent my exercise time working in the garden.  Boy, my legs are feeling all of that bending and squatting.  LOL!  Of course, that's a good thing.

Now it's time to get to book work.  Halloween will be here before I know it!

    Monday

Welcome to a brand new week.  I had a pretty easygoing weekend and today's doesn't look like it'll be too bad.  The kids are off to school and the youngest is quietly eating her breakfast.  I finished my workout for today and now need to eat a little breakfast before getting to work on my book.

    • yoga stretches
    • 70 squats
    • 30 pushups
    • 30 kickbacks ea. leg
    • 100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
    • 125 inner leg lifts ea. leg
    • 60 side crunches ea. side
    • 100 stomach crunches
    • 60 lower abdominal bicycle exercises

    Wednesday

Another nice morning around here.  The temps are cool and all the windows are open in the house.  I like mornings like that.

So, my shoulder feels better this morning, but I decided not to do any arm work.  I thought my should was better over the weekend, but then I did the pushups Sunday & Monday and my shoulder was NOT better.  So no arm work today.

    • Yoga stretches
    • 30 kickbacks ea. leg
    • 100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
    • 125 inner leg lifts ea. leg
    • 60 side crunches ea. side
    • 100 stomach crunches
    • 50 lower abdomin bicycle pedals

I rented a dvd called Walk Away the Pounds: 4 Mile Challenge... or something like that.  It came from Netflix yesterday, so I'm going to check it out and see if it's something I might enjoy doing.  We'll see.

    Tuesday

Today I had to lay off the pushups.  I've tweaked my right shoulder somehow and by last night I was in so much pain that I couldn't even lift my arm.  I ended up with it under a heating pad all evening.

I knew that it was bothering me last week, but that went away over the weekend, so I assumed I'd just strained a muscle.  Well, after the pushups I did yesterday and Sunday, it was obvious that my shoulder wasn't enjoying it.

So, today I jumped on the treadmill instead of doing the big workout I did yesterday.  Which is fine in the end because I need to take turns between the treadmill and the workout.  Exercise is exercise is exercise!!

At the moment I have the heating pad behind my shoulder and I'm about to take some Tylenol for the pain.  Then, it's time to get to work on the book.  I had a good writing day yesterday, and I'm hoping for the same today.

    Monday

I jumped right into exercise this morning so that I'd get finished before I get to work on my writing.

    • Yoga stretches
    • 50 side crunches ea. side
    • 30 kick backs ea. leg
    • 100 outer leg lifts ea. leg
    • 130 inner leg lifts ea. leg
    • 100 stomach crunches
    • 50 lower abdomin bicycle pedals
    • 26 pushups  (1 more than yesterday!)
    • 100 arm exercises with 5lb weights, ea. arm
    • 60 squats

Whew!  Now I need to get to work on my book.  I'll be back tomorrow morning.
