Day 25 - January 25, 2006
Morning Workout: Express Cardio Jiggle Free Abs
I substituted Express Cardio for Fat Blasting Cardio so I could try this DVD for the first time. It was rather tough to do the choreography, but I know with time I will get it better.

This was great - I went up to 10lbs for squats and single arm bent row. This was my first firm video so it has a special place in my heart.

Day 21 - January 21, 2006
Morning Workout: Ultimate Calorie Blaster
I didn't want to get up and workout this morning since it was Saturday but I knew I would be gone all day and so I did (must be something to the 21 days to become a habit - this was actually day 22), it felt really good once I did it.
Afternoon workout: 30 minute run/walk. Second day of Couch to 5K - very enjoyable run - got in the full time today. 5 minute warm-up, 8 intervals of 1 minute run, 1 1/2 minute wakl, 5 minute cool down - approximately 2.25 miles.

Morning Workout: Yoga Zone Flexiblity and Tone
First time doing this one, it's one of the long Yoga Zone videos. Very enjoyable, will definitely do again.
Afternoon Workout: 25 minute walk/run - starting Couch to 5K program - 2.5 min warmup, 8 interval of 1 minute run, 1 1/2 minute walk, 2.5 min cool down.
Running felt great - my legs hurt, breathing was not a problem.

Day 18
Well today is my first WW day. I haven't even started tracking my points yet, but I will write things down in a few minutes. This morning was Max Cardio Burn Abs. I love this workout and I was sweating buckets this morning (house was warmer than it has been). I got most of the moves this time and feel it was a great workout.
Oh - my accomplishment for the day - I did both planks on my toes and they are 16-count planks. I have been trying to do them part on my toes and go to my knees and then the second one I usually do on my knees, but I was determined this morning. It was tough but I did it and I am thrilled.
Yesterday afternoon since I worked from home and couldn't take an outside walk break (had 9 month old DS home with me) I took a workout break in the afternoon while he napped. I tried out Denise Austin's new indoor walking video and did the easy walk and the higher intensity sections followed by the stretch. This was pretty fun. More moves than Leslie and pretty interesting. Good easy workout for me to just stretch out and move with after Supercharged Sculpting in the morning.
Last night I did Winsor Bun and Thigh workout and I honestly could hardly walk afterwards. I finished up the evening with Yoga for a Strong and Healthy Back session 2 - this was another good one and I learned a new pose - dead bug - that had me laughing the rest of the time! I am thinking that is definitely not the sanskrit name for the pose, but it did describe it perfectly.
So here's to a healthy eating day. I know lunch is a Lean Cuisine Panini - these are great and food lion had them on sale for $1.76! I am also having a salad with it.
Tonight is spaghetti and salad so I should do okay. I also have some carrots with me today and some fat free pudding for my chocolate craving. I need to buy some yogurt, but have to wait on payday.
I have been reading Kathy Smith's Getting Better all the time: shape up, eat smart, feel great! and it is very inspirational. I love how she writes this and her hints and tips are great. It has really motivated me on many fronts. I got a notebook out today that has different sections and I plan on writing down my food intake in one section, my exercise in another, general notes and I am also going to have a section to write down what is stressing me and how I am dealing with it. I am hoping that section will help me lower my stress level by letting me get my feelings out instead of keeping them inside and letting them stew. I am also going to try deep breathing (she suggests it) when I am in a stressful situation. I need to calm down and this may help me (see I said the book was motivational on many different levels!)
Well I better get some work done in case I have to leave early (babysitter is not feeling too well).
Have a great one.

Day 17
Well I have missed a few days blogging, but I haven't missed a day of exercise yet. I am thrilled. I didn't want to workout yesterday but then suddenly I did want to and I did both workouts I had planned and I felt so much better. So here's a summary of the last few days:
Saturday: rest day - Denise Austin Hit the Spot Pilates - Thighs, Yoga for Relaxation Session 2 (wow - there is no way in heck I can do supported plough pose)
Sunday - Aerobic Body Shaping
Monday - Fat Blasting Cardio Firm Hips, Thighs and Abs, evening: Denise Austing Hit the Spot Pilates - Buns (boy did my buns burn), Yoga for a Strong and Healthy Back Session #1 (this was great and I wowed the DH with my flexibility which was cool).
Tuesday - Supercharged Sculpting.
I am working from home today so I am planning a pick-me-up this afternoon of either Leslie's Walk and Kick or Walk and Jog.
Tomorrow I am planning on officially getting back on WW for my eating (this is WW on my own). I am not moving too much weight wise (I can't seem to get rid of water retention right now - my rings are tight), so it's time to add controlled diet in with the exercise.
So far I am warding off the respiratory infection that DS#2, his cousin, his babysitter and his aunt have had. I hope I can keep it away - I don't need to miss work and I don't want to miss a workout!

Day 13 - Friday
This morning was Cardio Sculpt. A fun one for me since this was one of my first firm workouts back in 2003! I remember being so afraid that I could not do it because choreography always challenged me and all I was used to doing was Denise Austin and walking. I was surprised the first time I did it that I got a lot of it. It was tough, but the choreography wasn't hard and it definitely was fun. If I had just kept up the enthusiasm then I probably would be at goal weight now, but that is neither here nor there, when I started it helped me lose about 20 pounds over a 6-month period and I went down 2 sizes. I have gained some of the weight back and only one size (and that was during pregnancy). Now I am back on my way to getting healthy and fit!
Starting Sunday or Monday I will get back on WW points. I have concentrated on working out for two weeks, now it is time to get serious with diet. Oh - I have been really swollen the last few days (in fact I was up two pounds today), but it is right around my ovulation time, so I figure that is contributing. I will just continue drinking my water, exercising and weighing, but I am not letting the number stress me!
Have a great weekend all!
