Wednesday

Wow - where is this week going.  It's an interesting week at my house, DH is on a committee for an event and he was gone yesterday evening, will be gone this evening and the event is tomorrow night.  This is usually an event we attend together, but because he will be working at it I have opted not to attend.  Well, I say I opted, but the truth is I don't have a babysitter for the boys and I really don't want to pay anyone.  So it's just me and the boys for the next two nights.  Usually this is rather hectic, but since I took a walk at work yesterday afternoon, I felt completely in control last night.  I didn't feel on edge like I  usually do in the evenings so I am going to really try and walk every afternoon at work.  I also did several things around the house that needed doing and that was great.

My WW leader talked about making a taco salad yesterday at the meeting so I decided to go home and make one.  I had 12 points left for the day (including my activity points) so I got to eat cheese and I grilled a tortilla until it was crunchy to put in it.  It was really good - meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, green onion and then some sour cream and salsa for the dressing.  I also browned the meat to put in the crockpot today for spaghetti, but I am thinking I will save the spaghetti for tomorrow and eat another taco salad tonight - it was that good.

My new bedtime is 9:30 since I'm getting up at 4:30 to workout.  So far it's working great.  Both boys are in bed no later than 8:30 so it gives me some downtime.

Today's workout was a virgin to me - Firm Volume 6 - wow - now I remember why the classics are considered so tough.  I was sweating and out of breath several times and it felt good.  Jayne Poteet was a good leader and it was a great workout, I will definitely do it more in the future and will be adding more Firm Classics to my rotation.  The only other ones I have done before are Volume 1 and Volume 4.  Time to pull out the other 3!

I love your blog title!

Journey to Consistency!  I think that is the biggest issue for me also.  I have the all or nothing personality.  So I'm either really on program or REALLY not on program.  Consistency is key.

I hope you have a wonderful few nights with your boys.
