Even though I eat stuff like every few hours, I'm still hungry. What the heck? Maybe I should change WHAT I eat, not necessarily when or how much. Here's what I ate today so far:
6:30am -- Cocoa Puffs and 2 % milk (maybe 1/2 a serving)
8:15am -- red grapes
10:30am -- Doritos (140 cals)
12:30pm -- Pizza-flavored burrito (260 cals)
2pm -- Curious George Fruit Snacks (like 100 cals?)
4:30pm -- gala apple
And then dinner later.
I know, I'm missing protein during the day and stuff, but I just don't have anything else to eat. I'm just sleepy tired so as long as I can get a good nap, I'll be fine.
It's kind of embarrassing though, to have your stomach growl while you're trying to do stuff.
Well, of course, the good eating didn't last long. Today, I didn't eat any cereal. I had grapes for breakfast and then Taco Bell (Zesty Chicken Bowl), which is 500 calories, and pink lemonade for lunch.
For dinner, I ate salad w/ ranch dressing, green beans, beef and broccoli. That was fine. But then I ate a ton (well, like 1/3 of a box) of Wheat Thins. And a chocolate cookie. Which I kept dropping onto my laptop so crumbs would go flying everywhere.
Nice.
I am so proud of the way I ate last night. It wasn't the healthiest day (I had french fries and fried chicken, after all) but it was well-controlled (but not crazy insane).
For breakfast, I had a small (I mean, quite small) bowl of cereal (Reese Puffs) and milk. Basically, I get a black bowl, pour a bit of milk (probably 1/3 of a cup) and just enough cereal for a single layer. It sounds kind of bizarre, like I'm trying to count every single puff, but it's actually because I don't have much time to eat the cereal so I only pour enough to get in several bites.
Then at work, around 8am, I ate a large peach. It was kind of old but it tasted pretty good. I was a bit hungry at mid-morning, but I didn't eat anything. At 12:30pm, I ate some peach yogurt and contemplated whether I wanted to go buy french fries or not. I knew I didn't really need the fries, but I didn't want to deny myself of something I really wanted (which would probably cause me to binge later). So at 1pm, I went and got the fries (the serving size is fairly large and I used 1 packet of ketchup). When I eat while I work, I tend to eat slower, which is good because then I don't feel too stuffed afterward. I also drank about 1/3 of my Minute Maid Pink Lemonade (20oz) that I got on Friday.
For dinner, I ate salad w/ Ranch dressing (plenty, might I add), plus cheese and a piece of Church's Fried Chicken (thigh). It was yummy. I almost ate a 2nd piece but then I thought - eh, I don't really need a 2nd piece. After dinner, I brushed my teeth. At one point, someone offered me some ice cream but I turned it down.
So all in all, it was a great eating day. I had some treats but didn't go all out crazy at night. Yay!
Okay, starting tomorrow, I HAVE to start eating better. By better, I mean, healthier. I ate three pieces of pizza for lunch today (!), plus Pink Lemonade Snapple and cheesecake. And then for dinner, I ate spaghetti and fried chicken.
My tooth (right molar) hurts like the dickens but I'm not going to the dentist. Not that I'm afraid of what he'll do with my tooth (except that he'd probably just do another root canal on it) but I'm kind of busy and don't have time to go. And I'm kind of hoping that the pain will just go away (yeah, that'll really happen). In fact, it was probably because I waited so long from the first time it hurt before the dentist realized that it needed a root canal (which was last year)... that it's so bad still.
Well, whatever. Advil rocks.;
Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast (8am) - sugar-free vanilla pudding. It's the most disgusting pudding I've ever eaten, but it's only 60 calories and I just have 2 more 3.5oz containers left. It tastes a bit like the glue on envelopes.
Snack (10am) - green grapes.
Lunch (1pm) - I really wanted a burger and fries, or something other than the yogurt I was going to eat. I debated over this for about an hour (while I worked) and then finally got fed up with whatever I was working on and went to go buy something. I went to the one place closest to my office (looked at the "asian-style" noodles/rice, the Mexican food and the burgers/fries), walked over to the coffee place which has sandwiches and salads ($4.95 for a chinese chicken salad?!), paused at Panda Express and Rubio's, and another "asian-style" noodle place, finally settling on Taco Bell. I know, not healthy, but hey, it was relatively cheap and at 500 calories for a zesty chicken bowl, not too bad in terms of calories.
For dinner, I had 2 drumsticks from Church's Fried Chicken (I know, not healthy) and some fried rice and green beans. For dessert, I had 1/2 a fudge brownie and 1/2 a cream cheese brownie, with milk, and a fortune cookie which tells me that I have a good heart. Or health. I forgot already.
But at the very least, I will be going to sleep early today so I won't be binging and snacking. And that, in and of itself, is victory enough. (Weighed myself this evening - 118 lbs).
I have eaten so incredibly badly for the past three days. Saturday, I had Carl's Jr (Charbroiled BBQ Chicken, which is only 370 calories, but still) and then I ate 1/2 a bag of Nutter Butters after dinner (among other things). Sunday, I had Chinese food for lunch (leftovers at dinner) and ate the remaining 1/2 bag of Nutter Butters. Today, I had Chinese food again for lunch and leftovers for dinner.
So I've gone from weighing 120 lbs (1 or 2 weeks prior to 8/26/06 ) to weighing 115 on 8/26/06, to weighing 116 (8/27 to 9/1/06), to back to weighing 120 lbs (9/4/06). I know I shouldn't weigh myself so frequently and that'll change when I go back to work tomorrow. One week off of work is great but then when you go back, you have to take care of stuff. *Sigh* That's one reason why I never liked missing school when I was a kid.
Well, last night, I eventually ended up eating bavarian pretzels (too many). Plus some cake thing and milk. And ended up feeling very sad for myself.
On a more positive note, I weighed myself this morning and am still at 116. Yay! So one night of junk food does NOT make you gain a ton.
This morning, I woke up at 6:20am and did yoga for about 45 minutes. I think my arms will be sore tomorrow. Then I had breakfast (eggs, toast, 2 sausage links and coffee w/ sugar and milk). For lunch, I had a Charbroiled BBQ Chicken sandwich (370 cals) at Carl's Jr, plus some Coke and Sprite, plus some french fries (a small order, divided by 4 people). Not healthy, I know, but if I can eat somewhat of a sensible dinner, and not snack tonight, I will be happy.
