Day Three: Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers?

EP family, i need your opinions here. I want to start one of these on Jan 1st but am not sure which.  Can some of you chime in and let me know your experiences on either?

And also, how often do you guys weigh in? Daily, once a week, etc?

:-)

Never tried JC but WW works well.

..

I WI once a week - Friday morning before breakfast.

As for which plan to follow, I can't help.

We don't have JC in the UK & I'm not familiar with WW - I follow a low fat plan.

(I'm veggie so most of the commercial plans don't suit my needs).

xx

...

I WI once a month. My weight moves up and down so much in a week, is use to make me crazy! If I notice something, like my jeans getting tighter, or looser, I will do a WI, but that is about it.

As to plan, I had a good friend of mine that did GREAT on JC..
Alot of people on here do WW..

Me?  I just do 1500-1600 cals a day, then a cupple days a week, do 2000 cals.  Keeping my body guessing what is next..
At least that is what I do when I am not sick..LOL

:)

You need to do what works for you!

Do you want the convenience of packaged foods or the freedom of WW?

Both work if you stick to them!

Maybe choose 1 and give it a month.  If you find it is not for you switch to the other.

what do you need?

i haven't done WW, I am on JC.

JC is food to your door (jenny direct $65 a month delivery), open the box, slash it four times, put it into the microwave, cook for 31/2 to 5 minutes.  Take out, put in veggies,

Voila!  food in 7 minutes.  Pretty good food too, I might add.  Approximate monthly cost is $19 a day for 28 days.  !!!  I'm down to $17 a day.  Yes, it's alot of money.  How much do you spend on food a day now?

WW does not have food other then snacks?  And from what I can tell, it's a bunch of figuring out how to justify to yourself that what you just ate or are planning to eat somehow fits into your points.  I could see myself doing that totally.  Well, I want the chocolate sundae, and it's 5000 points, so I just won't eat anything for the rest of the day.  :D   I don't mean to offend any WW if there's a whole lot more to it, which I'm sure there is, so please don't scold me!  :)

I actually think WW would be the way to go for learning how to eat after JC takes away your food cause you've lost your weight, but then Franma doesn't seem to like maintenance on WW soo....  /shrug  :)

WW

I would go with Weight Watchers. JC is expensive and the overall goal is to learn how to buy 'regular' food and measure quality. I like that even if you drop out-- you already got all the tools you need to make good choices!

i agree

that ww is more budget friendly.  You and the kiddos can all eat the same healthy foods and you wont have to make them something separate.  i just count calories and dont exceed 1700.  I have one cheat/guilt-free meal per week.
