seriously?
Yesterday, I went to a town square where there was a sort of "flea market." Lots of vendors selling worthless trinkets, but I went primarily for people watching. It can be a very entertaining sport :) However, while there, we were stopped by an elderly balloon man that wanted to make a special balloon for the girl I was with. He looked up and asked the girl if her and I were going together, and when she said that we were just friends, he asked, "any other strong muscular men in your life?" She replied, "No. I'm single at the moment." So, he proceeded to make her a small white puppy that was holding a red heart in its paws. While he was making it, we had a chance to talk to him. He commented that the reason he had asked her about her relationship status was that one time a man came back after he had made this guys' wife a balloon and asked, "were you hitting on my wife?" "uh no, sir," he replied as he backed into the corner. "So that is why I have to ask...."the balloon man's voice trailed off, "vey stressful making balloons for adults." I asked him about why he said adults and he stated that he isn't allowed to give them to the kids any more because the balloons are a "choke hazard." What is this world coming to? I grew up with balloon men making me all kinds of cool hats etc... and I haven't been harmed at all. Sometimes I wonder if the kids of today are going to be halfway normal if we protect them so much. So, if you have kids, the next time you see a balloon man, make his day, and let him make your kids a balloon.
P.S. Still losing weight. Dropped almost a pound yesterday. Treadmilled it up and burned 500 calories.
