Did someone say this was hard?


This is working. Sure, it's difficult to figure out how to avoid eating all those calories, but so far, I am restraining.  I attached a link to the shake I drank
for breakfast, and for lunch I had a big salad first and one helping of soup.
It is 3:15 right now though, and I can feel myself getting hungry again. I am
going to find something healthy, but not sure what. Any suggestions? I didn't
have my usual Pepsi today with the caffeine, and I'm not even that tired. For
dinner, my sister and her husband invited us to our favorite Mexican place,
but since it is in the same town as the Y, I'm going to go in 2 hours early and
run on the treadmill and swim. And of course, try to resist all the chips with
salsa at supper. Any suggestions on what is healthiest to eat at a authentic
Mexican restaurant? Also, check out that link to the shake I had for breakfast

Mexican food

My favorite.  I don't know how to avoid chips, but they are fried in oil and therefore tough.  Salsa is actually all vegetables, no fat.
 
Beans, go for black beans, NOT refried.
 
As a rule, corn tortillas are healthier-lower fat than flour.
 
Not fried, and if you can get pico de gallo instead of sauces....Nix the sour cream, but a little guacamole is a healthy fat, as long as it's not got mayo or sour cream in it.
 
So, maybe some grilled chicken dish, w/ Pico de Gallo or just salsa,  and some black beans?
 
The shake looked interesting.   Do you mix it with water?   I'm looking for something to drink after work outs.

Get some snacks

I eat breakfast and lunch (especially during the week, its easier for me since I am at work and all) but i eat snacks, usually an apple or some kind of fruit (lately it's been little sugar free fruit cups, you can buy like 4 in pack) I eat one of those in between breakfast and lunch and another snack in the afternoon around 4-5 because I usually start getting really hungry for dinner about the time I get out of work (which is 530) so little snacks help get you by until the next meal.
