A little more about me.
I'm about 30 pounds overweight. I often find myself not feeling energized and when I do play sports I have to stop and catch my breathe while my buddies are still going strong. I catch myself noticing people's perfect abs and wonder, "how can I get those?" Lots and lots of work seems to be the answer. I'm not going to try any "miracle" pill, but instead watch my calorie intake and be sure to get in some good exercising. I joined the Y and plan on going swimming. This is the plan. My girlfriend just went for summer school abroad and so we will not be seeing each other until September 1. I want to surprise her by being skinny, having dropped those 30 pounds. Also, I have a younger brother that weighs around 230 pounds and is only 15. I am concerned about his health, and since I'm in the health profession, I've seen kids like him develop early onset diabetes. This scares me so much, that I want to show and support him through his own weight loss. So, I have a few questions for some of you avid dieters and I would sure appreciate a response :)
1. I calculated what my max calorie intake should be, and it is 2009 calories per day. Would you recommend cutting this down to 1500 a day? More or less? How fast will that make me lose the pounds?
2. I hate breakfast. It makes my stomach turn. All I need is my coffee. How important is it to have breakfast? I have found an alternative and that is a Muscle Milk protein shake in the morning. Do you think that is "ok"?
3. Not a question. Please add me as a friend. I love to get to know people and will find it a joy to join each individual on their own "bringin' sexyback" journey. That's my theme song right now.
Headed to the treadmill.... Hasta LaVista...
