So, Josh (my fiance) has decided that following weight watchers will be a great way for him to shed a few pounds (after watching me do it for a year)...especially in the wake of his exciting news of making it to the next round of testing to become an RCMP officer.
So he has been following the plan for a week, and it has actually made me be able to stick with it SO MUCH better. Going back to the basics to teach him everything, and answering his questions about points has really made me relearn everything. And since I don't want to sabotage him, I am more "honest" with point values than I may have been in the past.
The best part....he has lost about 7 pounds this week...and I have lost about 3 (having had a 0.8-1.0 pound loss every week for the last 5 has been kinda tiresome). This is unofficial weight loss though, since my weigh in isn't until tomorow, and I may have to miss it due to another committment. But I will fill you in on the real successes after an official weigh in!
Okay, so its been three weeks in a row I have had a loss. Even if some of them were small losses, I will take it, cause it is .2 or .8 closer to my goal!
Been feeling pretty great these days. Haven't been getting to the gym quite as much as I would like, but I have been focusing on eating properly, which is more important for me, and tougher for me, so its more of a victory then getting to the gym. With the awesome weather here on the weekend (17C) I thought for sure I could get outside and run again, rather than the treadmill...but it didn't last long...high winds and snowsqualls are back in full force today....gotta love winters in Southwestern Ontario ;)
Ohhhh..Idol is on,(Yes I admit to being a HUGE fan) gotta run!
I can't believe another week has come and gone..WOOHOO weekend!
I have found it hard this past week to get to teh gym as much as I usually do. Josh has been sick, and I can't always get up the motivation to go alone...but I did make it twice ;)
My official weight in this week had me down by 0.2 pounds. Not really a significant loss, but I didn't gain. Right now that is important to me.
I didn't track the whole week last week either, only 5 days, so that could easily contribute. So far I have been tracking every day this week, hopefully I can stay on track. Weekends kill me, I am out ofmy workday routine, adn I get meal times messed up. This weekend my goal is to stay on track for both days, and get to teh gym both days. We'll see how I do ;)
This weeks weigh in was a successful one, I was down 1.3 pounds. But more important than that are the non scale victories of the past week.
I was able to journal every day this week...this is a big accomplishment for me because I really hate writing down everything I eat. It is the one thing I know I can't do this without, yet I somehow have managed to go a few months without doing it (Hence no real weightloss for a few months now). So hopefully I can keep myself on track with this.
Limiting TV: every evening last week I made myself do something otehr than watch TV until 8:00pm each night. I am such a TV junkie that I couldn't quit it all together cold turkey, but i was able to limit myself quite niceley. It is amazing how much quicker dishes are done adn hwo much tidier the house is when I actually do something in teh evenings ;) Most importantly here though is that I ate most of my dinners at the table, not while watching TV, Sounds like no big deal, but for me it really is. I don't pay any attention to what I am eating in front of teh TV and befoer I know it my dinner is gone, adn I don't even remember what it tasted like.
So I am moving back in the right direction, adn I am feeling really great about it ;)
I really like my new home at extrapounds.com. My old home is chubbycanadiangirl.blogspot.com for those of you that would like to catch up on who I am and what my goals are, and what my challenges have been up until this date.
I am going to use this as my blog now though, it is much better suited for my blog content, plus it is way prettier ;)
