A picture is worth a thousand.........pounds!

Christmas Eve 2007 So here I am. Back at 184 lbs. Now I have the weight from two babies to lose. It is amazing how it always takes a picture for me to realize just how big I have gotten. Thats what it took last time to get me serious about losing weight. And I guess that is what it took again this time. Ugh, I am utterly disgusted with myself. I had gotten down to 157 lbs before I got pregnant again. Only 17 pounds away from my goal. After losing 30 pounds. Now here I am again. Having to start all over. Going through the hell of giving up soda, junk food and fast food all over again. What happened to the days when I could eat whatever I wanted and still stay skinny! Gone but not forgotten, I tell ya. So here I am guys. Back again to share with you the experience of losing all this baby fat. And this time for good!!!! Encouragement is always appreciated. I will be back tonight to update on caloric intake and exercise. Here is to healthy eating for today!!!

Hey guys. I know that probably nobody is even reading this thing because I don't post anymore. But if there is anyone out there who still reads, I will be back soon. I will be having this baby is about 3 weeks or less, and I am so ready to get back into losing weight. I've decided that I really don't want any more kids any time soon and I am in freaking Hawaii, so you know I gotta get a cute little skinny body so I can soak up some sun at the beach without grossing people out!!! So here's the deal....

 I have not posted in a gazillion years because things have been crazy... My husband came back from Afghanistan at the end of January, we moved at the end of May and now we are in Hawaii finally getting things settled. My weight loss adventure is on hold because right now I am 7 1/2 months pregnant. So after baby #2 pops out I will be right back here letting you guys know how I am doing. I am really going to stick to the breastfeeding thing this time, to help me lose the baby weight and I will not be going on Depo again, as I swear that is a big part of the reason my weight soared after I had my last daughter... Anyways, just letting you guys know I'm not dead, just pregnant LOL!!! I will be looking forward to you guys support after I step on the scale and realize that I in fact have not given birth to a 40 pound baby!!! LOL!!!

Getting back into the routine

I managed to work out for two hours today!! I got in my hour of cardio and my hour of weight-lifting!!! Go Me!!!

Anyways, I feel so good today!!! I have been feeling pretty crappy lately. Not having any energy and I think it is because I have been eating wrong and not working out like I should be! Likt this morning for breakfast I had a cheese roll and hot chocloate!!! But no more of that crap. I came back from working out and felt so great and had a plate of tomatoes and carrots for lunch. And drank a glass of V8 Splash!! And it is amazing how much better I feel!!!

I really let my diet  and exercise fall apart! I was eating fast food and junk alot and hardly ever exercising!!! Now I gotta work to get back where I was. And I am going to work twice as hard than I did before. I can't let myself become that fat blob again!! It is going to be hard. Especially considering I have a huge weakness for junk food but I just gotta build up that mentality again and I think I will be fine!!!

Sorry I have been gone for so long....

The past couple of months have been crazy!!! I have been back and forth from Alabama to Louisiana back To Alabama, back to Louisiana, to Texas, To Louisiana and back to Alabama again!!! And Then My husband came back from Afghanistan two weeks ago! So I have just been busy busy!!!! And unfortunately my workout scedule has been all messed up and now I am horribly out of shape and it is like I have to start from scratch!

So I will set a new goal, and hopefully be able to get where I want to be or at least back where I was!!!!

I will keep you guys informed!!

Ugh!!!

Well I did the norm today. Went to the gym. Spent an hour on the treadmill. Walked 15, ran for like 30 and then one of the girls that run the day care came and got me because Alyssa had gone poopy and they don't change those. So I stopped in the middle of my run to go change her diaper. I came back and tried to get back on and run again but my motivation and will power was gone so I walked at an incline for like 15 minutes. And then I worked my legs and then my abs and then arms and lower back. Once again I got dizzy and had to stop before I reached my goal of working out for two hours. I guess working out while on my period is more tiring. Anyways I worked out for an hour and a half and I have been doing sit ups and squats and lunges throughout the day. I am pretty sure I am not going to make my goal weight by the time my hubby gets home. He'll be home next month and I still have many many pounds to lose. But I guess as long as he sees a change then I am happy. So heres to hoping he notices a difference. He better!!!

Anyways, I plan on going to a class at the gym on wednesday. It is a sampler of all the various classes the gym offers. So hopefully nothing will interfere with me going to it. I'll let you guys know how it goes and whether or not I will find a class that I like enough to go to!!!

I made a new addition to my diet. During my semi-juice fast this weekend I tried tomato juice. And oh my goodness it is soooooo good. That is what I had for lunch today. I had that and a stick of celery and it so filling and yummy. I am always happy to find new healthy things I like. Oh and I also finally found a bag of just plain granola so I enjoy munchin on that too!!!!

My attempt at Juice Fasting

Ok, so today I gave the juice fasting thing a try. And I learned how truely weak-minded I am!!!! I did good. I really did. For a while. Well, I am lying. I didn't do good. If I had done good, I wouldn't have come off it at 5:00p.m. the day I started. But I started out this morning with my usual Slim Fast. I knew it would control my hunger for four hours so I wouldn't have to deal with hunger pains. Maybe that in itself was cheating, but I had the best of intentions of actually fasting this weekend. Anyways, I started out strong at lease. I had my Slim Fast. Some time after that I had a cup of pineapple juice followed by lots and lots of water. And at Lunch I had Tomato Juice. Following lunch I alternated between water and cranberry juice. I also stayed very busy today because I am sure most of you have the same problem as I do, when you get bored you tend to eat. I am telling you, I busted my butt cleaning today just to keep my mind off food. But around lunch I had to take a break to give my daughter lunch. I really didn't want to take a break because I knew I would lose momentum and have difficulty getting back to my busy bee routine. But anyways, I took a break and had my tomato juice and I was right. Try as I might I couldn't muster up the energy to jump back in to my hardcore cleaning. So I decided to get in some exercise whilst being lazy. I watched a movie on TV and during the commercials I got on the floor and did exercises. During the first commercial I got down and did 100 sit-ups. During the second commercial I got down and attempted push-ups but I got incredibly dizzy and just couldn't do it. And as the hours went on I started feeling more and more weak so I broke down and ate some chicken and crackers. That is all I have had to eat today and it did make me feel better. And I have still continued with drinking my juice. Right now I am drinking a glass of V8 splash!!! So I guess maybe I shouldn't be too upset about my failure at fasting. I think it is something you are kinda supposed to ease yourself into and I didn't ease myself into it at all. I went from eating how I normally do yesterday to not eating at all today and I guess that may have been a big part of the problem. I will give the fasting another go next month and try to better prepare myself for it. Well thats all guys!!!

Thanksgiving- the evil holiday

So, wow I have not posted in forever. I went home to Louisiana for a week and gained back a few of the pounds I had lost. I always seem to do that when I go back home. And it doesn't matter how much I tell myself I am going to work out while I am there, I never do.

Its amazing how easy it is to slip away from eating right and working out, and how hard it is to get back into the habit. But I am getting back there. I have been home for a week and I have been junkin it up and barely orking out. BUt this week I started off right. Bought healthy food started going back to the gym and I think I will be back to where I was in no time. I will be making another trip back home this month so I gotta find someway to not fall off my diet and exercise again. I just gotta keep in mind that my man will be home next month and I have to look good for him. Not just in his eyes but in mine as well.

Anyways, I worked out for an hour an a half today. Did an hour straight on the treadmill. Walked for the first 15 minutes then ran for forty five. It felt really good to run for that long and I think I will definately be feeling it tomorrow. I have also learned this past week that the incline button on the treadmill is like a miracle worker. I had a pretty steep incline going on the other day and was disappointed because I wasn't really feeling nothing but let me tell you how bad my hamstrings and butt hurt the next day. It was amazing. Anyways, after my run, I did about 30 minutes of weight lifting. Didn't focus on any one area specifically. Mainly because at the gym they are changing out all of the padding on the machines so half of the machines were unusable. But thats about it for my workout today. I think I am going to start trying to work out for 2 hours a day.  Make more progress faster ya know??

Home For The Holidays

If anybody is wondering why I haven't been posting, it is because I have been out with my family for the holidays and haven't had a lot of time to get on the computer. Well actually I have had no time to get on the computer.

 

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Mine went pretty good and my trip home has gone pretty great actually.

 

I haven't been working out or maintaining my diet for the past almost week. I can never manage to maintain a diet when I visit my family!! LOL. Anyways, I am taking my PT test tomorrow so everbody with me luck with that. If I pass it I will finally get promoted.

 

Well thats about it guys. Just wanted to drop a few lines so everybody  would know that I am still alive!!!

So you guys know the deal by now. I ran. (Only for 25 minutes today) and then I did some weights. Today I really concentrated on my arms. And I worked some more on my legs. But my leg workout got cut short when one of the girls that runs they little daycare area came out and informed me my daughter had a poopy diaper and they don't take care of those. Which was fine because by that time I had been working out for an hour and a half.

I am feeling really great lately. Everyday that I run for 25-30 minutes I drop a pound. I am sitting at 156 right now and that is absolutely wonderful. That means I am only 1 pound away from passing Army weight standards (I am in the reserves for those who don't know) and I am 16 ponds away from goal. I have lost incredibly almost 30 pounds. Thats like my daughter plus a newborn LOL!!!!

Well thats about it!!! I probably won't be getting on for a while so I hope that everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving!!!!
