I'm back!!!
Wow, it's been over 2 years since I have logged on and written something. Amazingly I was 76.5kg then and I went up to around 79kg at one time but am now at 75.5kg. Why am I back? Cause tonight I can't sleep and just thought I might be able to get tired blogging.
A LOT has happened since I've gone AWOL. Changed my job and am now actually living abroad in Luxembourg, another tiny country in the EU - working with the European Institutions but the less said the better about that as I've been told it would be unethical to talk about my work.
So, I'll talk about diet and other stuff. I' ve been living in Luxembourg for just over a year and a half. I enjoy it here most of the time although it can get lonely sometimes even though there is a really good Maltese community and I've made some very good friends. But most are on contract and will eventually leave which is a pity - I came here on a contract too but managed to pass a 'competition' for a permanent job. Do I want to stay here longterm? Maybe yes, maybe no. I do have a time plan... but anyway I said I wasn't going to talk about work and enough about that.
I have been trying to keep active here. I have a gym membership and try to go at least twice a week though it is now closed for 3 weeks. It is the gym at work since it is heavily subsidized - the private gyms are really very expensive here as is everything in rich little Luxembourg. Once I tried to go everyday and I did managed to go everyday but come Friday I was so so so tired!!!! So it reopens 20th August and I'll try to go for a nice 2-3 times a week average. I go to Malta every 5-6 weeks for a week (usually) and that is when everything comes undone diet wise. Not that while in Luxembourg I am really disciplined cause the evening, 2 years and more on, are still my major downfall. But in Malta I meet up with friends and family and it's alcohol, bread and butter, platters, wine bars, chocolate, bbqs - and everything else unhealthy and fattening. So I am usually quite good during my weeks here where I might lose 1kg with a struggle and then gain 1.5kg in one week in Malta.
I hope I reconnect a bit with some old friends here and maybe make some new ones. It would be good to start this off again actually. I'm going to read some of your stuff now and maybe leave a comment or two. Until tomorrow.... goodbye
