76.5Kg
That is what the scales showed this morning. I'm not totally overawed by this, yesterday evening it showed 74.5kg (about 5 lbs difference) and as Tracy's blog well shows, digital scales can be your best friend one minute and worst nightmare the next, let alone 12 hrs after. Still I thin 76.5kg is a realistic figure. I got it this morning on the scales, so I'm putting that as the graph spikes up like never before. But hey, it's 9:41 and already 2 glasses of water in, lol.
Yesterday's party was very good. We enjoyed it. The Euro conversion has now happened. At 2:30am, David and I were withdrawing our own first ATM Euro!!!! It was freezing cold but we wanted to do it. What was really funny was our Prime Minister going to the put-for-the-occasion mobile ATM of one of the leading banks to withdraw the first Euro on the island and the machine bailed on him not just once but TWICE giving him a technical error live on TV with photographers from Malta and Europe waiting to flash in. What a blunder!!!! Don't these things get checked that they work before the live event? We had people from the rival bank with us - it was funny and humiliating of course but let's go with funny. Then they whisked him, the Central Bank guy and a couple of other VIPs to withdraw money on TV from a regular ATM. It is a case of Only In Malta, or maybe not.
Big family lunch here - fried rabbit or rabbit stew. I go for the fried version cause I love it. I will not eat bread and will not eat dessert so my commandments will be safe but the rabbit will go deliciously down. I know most ofyou look at rabbit as pets but they are a national dish here. Did I mention they are delicious?
Hope you all are having a great start to the New Year. May it bring you and your families joy and good health which pretty much amounts to happiness.
