Before After

work, kids, husband..oh boy

Hiya!!!  I am glad to say that I have started work FINALLY. So far all I have been doing is training but it gives me time away and its a paycheck. My husband has been with the kids for 2 days while I work and I think I could qualify my house as natural disaster. My husbands thought is...give into them to avoid the hassle of fussing or them screaming....WRONG. Today has been a battle with the kids! "dont jump on the furniture" "no dont touch mommys picture frames" Everything they have learned in the last 2-3 years seems to have gone out the window. Funny how that happens. I get home from work and hub is like OMG! so and so did this...and while trying to hide laughter..im like noooo, thats a new one! When in actuality its things i deal with everyday from the boys and when it happens to me, his answer is "it cant be that bad"

I must admit..I have been slack in the dieting department. Not that im indulging...its that im not eating. I eat like once a day and I know that is bad for me. I need to get back on track. Just with the changes of work and then coming home to clean up after the men folk, who feels like eating. I promised myself next week, I was taking healthy snacks to work and try to pack a lunch that is far better than vending machine crap.

I hope you are all doing well...i miss you...Keep me in your thoughts because I want to lick an electrical outlet to get a vacation from the wreck I have been cleaning!

Once a day?

At least you realize your only eating 1 time a day and you can soon change that.  Sorry to hear of your frustrating madness!  You not only have to train your kiddos but your hubby too!

Good week

Glad you finally got to working.  And yes, definitely pack food in - it is great to help keep out of the vending machines.  You should see everything I pack to work LOL!!

Typical...

ahh..men!    :-)

Thanks so much for your comments on my blog.  I've been able to read them in email, but just haven't been able to respond or update my blog, really.

I was just looking at your stats and they are awesome!  Congrats on losing those 36 lbs.!    You're doing great!    I've been packing my lunches & snacks to avoid vending machines, too, and I have to say that it's working because it has really helped me to stay on track - eating just the right amount and not giving in to temptations in the teachers' lounge.

You are

Yep, you are in my thoughts.  I think it is wonderful for men to get a chance to stay at home with the kids for a while.  Funny how fast they can learn that being a stay at home mom is no picnic.

Blessings to you.  Chargail

Cringe...

The very thought of the "calm and serenity" you are currently returning to with your DH and DK's would make me want to run away and hide, LOL.

Joking aside, do remember to take yourself a pack up and snacks to work, it really will help if you have "good" stuff available rather than the "vending machine monster" !!

(And I find a big list, with a rota on it for the DH helpful too ;) ).....

(Says she who can hear WW3 breaking out between DH and DD right now and is hiding ;) ).

DON'T DO IT!!!

Lick the electrical outlet, I mean...The kids would only think it was a cool new trick and then want to try it themselves!

Hope you enjoy the job and are able to make the time to really take care of yourself and feed your body what it needs. You have done amazingly well so far!

I agree!!

Don't do it!!  We need you here for support!!

Baby steps is all I have to say.  One step at a time you will get back on track.  Keep in touch!

Men...

...need I say more?

You definitely need to eat more - the last thing you want is to get into "Starvation Mode."

Have a great day!

Angel

Don't do it!

Step away from the outlet!  LOL!

Hang in there!!

Wow it sounds like things are super hectic for you. Hang in there, it will get better. :)

Hang in there!

Family can be stressful sometimes! I know I have 6 children. It can be downright maddening at times. It will be OK! Enjoy your day. Shawn

but...

...you'll get really frizzy hair if you do that!?!?!

Crazy time. Hang in there as your whole house routine re-orients itself.

And eat. To help nourish yourself thru the adjustment.

You are excused...

but just for the first week at a new job while you find your bearings. It is something we all do. You are motivated and determined to get back into balance and you will!

LOL!

Lick the outlet?  How funny!

I hope you're enjoying your jobS!  Sometimes it's okay to go to bed and clean the mess up later.  It'll still be there in the morning!  Take care of yourself!

Hubby

Men are so frustrating but at least he tried LOL! Good to hear you are working now, must be nice for you to have a change of scenery and some adult conversation. Have a great week and don't give into the evil vending machine!

Step back!

no outlets for you!

Get back on track with those healthy snacks (cant starve the weight out!) and you will do just fine!

LOL!

How I would love to put my husband in the same shoes your husband is in now. My husband thinks I have an easy day with my 2 years old. Yea right!

LTNS

Thought I would drop by and say hi, Yea I am back finally....took me long enough to work my way back here. MISS YOU!

on the eating once a day thing...

Eating once a day probably causes you to be ravenous by the time you actually do eat.  Although I'm sure you already know this from personal experience =)

I quote:
"I was telling my weight dr that I tend to over eat. He said the actual size that people are to consume is the size of a saucer, not a dinner plate, he said to section the plate off with the biggest part veggies, then protien and then a little spot for carbs."

Good luck!

LOL!

Men...the kids pull tricks with them because Dads are easier to pushover! My son is only 2 and knows how to work my husband!

Congrats on getting back to work. I'm going to be doing the same starting October 1st. I'm hoping that being in a place where the fridge isn't mine to peruse and packing healthy food will be a key plus in my weight loss efforts.

Hope this week is a great one for you!
