Before After

Tired and in drought?

Hello my friends!

Today brings about exhaustion! My 2 sweet dear angels decided to run and play until almost 2 am. My hub has been closing all week, so a couple nights this week...he took them out of bed, let them watch tv, with popcorn and sweet tea...Oh, my excitement. I know its because he didnt get to see them much but boy am I paying for that. I put the boys down for bed, and they pretty much kick and scream for POCK CORN and TEAAAA, until hub gets home. I have been making him go be the bad guy and tuck them in...after fussing they go to sleep! But oh my geez..what long nights. SOOOO....good old mom decided it was enough, they go to bed at 2...I wake them at 8. Hoping it will tired them out for bed tonight.

On the dieting front, I am trying to still increase my water intake. I just cant seem to manage it...for those that have followed my blog, know this has been one of my biggest struggles. I have never been one to have to need a lot of liquid..so when i get to a certain point..my body pretty much says NO!....I dont know how to overcome this. I have tried crystal lights, lemon, plain water. But cant seem to up the intake!

Have a great day

OMG

And hub is still alive???  My hubby knows better than to try that crap on me when he's on shift work.  He just has to wait until he's around when my kids are up.  No way would I let him screw up their schedule like that!  Stick to your guns - that is wrong in so many ways!  I understand he misses his kids, but as far as I'm concerned that's just plain SELFISH.

Anyhoo, tra la la...  good luck keeping up with your liquid intake.  I find it so much easier to drink lots when I'm hot - like now, I'm always parched.

Have a great day!!!

Angel

idea

What works for me is to have a 1 litre bottle with me and know that I have to empty and refill it by bed time.  I work so I have it on my desk and drink the first bottle by 2:30pm (so no need to run home if you know what i mean!) and the other in the evening.

A little sugar free cordial (um I think you call it koolaid or something??) can help too.

The key

I think water really is the key to weight loss.  Or at least one of them.  I just guzzle it!  Then I sip on my Diet Coke.  I alternate.  Drink a glass of water when you wake up, one with breakfast, one with lunch, one with dinner and you're half way there.  Yeah, I know, it's hard.  And I pee non stop.

Help with water

The last time I was dieting I had a hard time getting as much as I needed to go down.  Then I started buying bottled water...16.9 oz. size...and Voila! I was drinking it with ease.  I had to fight with myself for a while on the $$$ I was spending on WATER but I got over that.  You can find 24 packs for $5 tax on sale and if you drink 4 per day, that is only 85 cents per day.  Now I just buy it and don't even think about it.  Anyway, you have 2 beautiful little boys even if they are not angels 100% of the time!  Good Luck

2am??

Wow that's really late for them to go to sleep and definitely can mess up their sleep cycle. I would only allow that to be a one time thing and never again. Sleep is soo important to everyone's health and you need all your energy to take care of those two little cute creatures.

I have eliminated soda and juices that I only drink water everywhere I go. It helps a lot to keep up with your intake of water.

ouch!

I bet you are exhausted from dealing with them.. My kiddos decided the other night to get up in the middle of the night and watch tv.. I taught them..LOL.. I woke them up at 6am and made them stay up all day.. They slept all night the next night..

Water is the biggest burden yet the biggest must have..

I love

your blog... it's great, and your kids are so gorgeous!

good for you..

for not strangling your hubby. ;) I don't have kids yet but husband has already said i'm going to be a mean mommy. :p in the summertime here kids are usually up late -- it's not unusual to see them running around the square at 11pm-midnight.. I just sit there with my jaw dropped saying 'where are the parents?! why aren't they in bed?!' :P

Take care, and good luck with the water. I have trouble getting started, but once I'm on a water kick it's ok. I have a 1.5 liter waterbottle that I refill with filtered water. If I have it with me it usually goes down pretty easily! Trick is keeping with me ;)

Happy 4th of July!

Yuck...water!

I don't like water until I'm heaved over with dehydration.  I've had a similar issue.  I've tried flavored waters, etc., and can never seem to get it all in.  But what does help from time to time:

- carry a bottle water with you like its your purse.

- schedule to drink a cup or glass every other hour or so.

- force yourself to drink it by not allowing yourself to drink anything else like juices, pop, etc.

- make a mental note and picture of your body eliminating all that fat ready to come out that needs its transporter (which is water!), and that your skin will look even more flawless as you wax out the toxins.

Have a Happy Fourth!

Yeah

That's just wrong!  Love the tantrum pic LOL!!  Poor guy - mean ol' mommy (( just kidding ))

Have a great 4th

I hate water.

I don't like the taste (or non-taste) of water and no matter how I dress it up (lemon, lots of ice) it's still not appealing. I found I tend to drink my daily 2 liters if I have a sports bottle. I usually buy a Deer Park one and just refill it from my Brita.

My husband doesn't like water as well so here's how I trick him into getting some H2O in. I make Kool-aid (the unsweetened packets) and tell him to sweeten it to his taste with Splenda. Sure, it's not as good as regular water but I read that as long as it's a non-caffeinated drink it will count towards your water intake.

Another way to get water in is to eat water heavy foods. Watermelon, grapes, apples, lettuce, cukes, etc....I have a diet program I used to use called DietPower that would calculate the amount of water in the foods you ate and put that towards your daily water intake.

As for hubby wiring up the kidsI swear he sounds like my hubby! I have caught mine giving my son Mt. Dew right before bed time! Men.

Have a happy 4th!

Hello !

I hope all is well for you and that you have gotten some much needed rest!  About the water, I actually hated water.  Now it is the only thing I drink with the exception of either coffee or tea in the morning.  Let me share with you some information I got off some forum about water:

If you are strarving, you probably need water (many people actually think they are hungry when they need water!)

If you are hot, water will cool you down and it cleanses your system....

If you have dry skin and or dry lips, water will help it keeps us hydrated....

To make a really long story short, water is so good for you. (I am sure you know this already, but reinforcement helps sometimes).   Then this is what else they said.  Take 6 bottles of water a day.  Drink those six bottle of water and then you are done with it for the day.  My trick with water is this, it MUST BE ICED COLD.  I too have tried crystal lite and all that other stuff, but if you don't like it, you don't like it.  We must sacrifice.  YOU can do it.  I take Phen- D and I have to have water, otherwise I have a cotton mouth all day at work in my conversations or sitting working on the computer idle.  I think I read that you were on Phentermine, doesn't that make you mouth dry?  I hope you find a plan girly...,YOU NEED THE WATER!
