Before After

A look back?

wow...I was sitting here looking at my calendar...and I have been on this lifestyle change for 20 days now. It doesnt seem that long. It seems LONGER! lol....Then I thought about the things that I have changed in the last 20 days, and felt a little sense of accomplishment...Out of those 20 days, I have had 1 cup of tea, and 1 sprite!!! That is HUGE! I am southern..I love me some sweet tea! My outlook on things has changed. I dont think, I cant. I think..I WILL....Just the emotional change in the last 20 days I think outweighs the physical changes!

Lol...I got the new Family Circle Magazine in today...The topics on front are walking work-outs, stress relievers etc..and there it is a bigggg picture of a strawberry shortcake...To me that is counter productive to their articles inside...why not provide a low fat cake, or something beneficial?? I dunno...but the picture makes me want to lick the cover and say forget the weight loss section.

I hope you all have a great weekend and a wonderful mothers day!

Good job

Sorry you ended up getting sick - what a bummer - but bless dh's heart for taking care of things for you.  You have done amazing things in 20 days!!  That is awesome!!  Changing our mindsets is huge, the weight loss is icing on top of the cake following that (no pun intended to the strawberry short cake dilemma).

Happy weekend-

Mind over matter

The mental challenge is where you need to win big time and the weight loss will follow.  If we can master the mindset of eating healthy for the long-term, we'll naturally lose weight as a consequence!

Have sweet tea with splenda.  That's what I do.  I still lose weight and it tastes awesome!

Licking the Cover...

might be better than making it and eating it!  LOL.  I know.  I don't buy those magazines anymore.  I like Women's Health, Shape, Oxygen, & WeightWatchers magazines.  They all have great recipies and totally fit our lifestyles.  You're doing so great!

Yes, you will!

I had to catch up on your blog. :)

You should feel so proud of how well you are doing!  So sorry that you got sick and so glad that you are feeling better!

Happy MOther's Day !

Pedometers

I got mine at Kmart in the sporting goods section for about 6 bucks. I am positive that target will have them and if not walmart will. Happy Mommies day to you too!

Cake

I thought that Strawberry Shortcake was a good dessert.  With fat-free cool whip!  But maybe there is no such thing as a good dessert!

Thanks for all of your encouragement!  It means alot!

Hey

You are a southern girl! Do you walk on the Battery with a ball gown :) Thanks for making me feel welcome yesterday. I just live about an hour south of you in Beaufort. Your boys are cute! 20 days is a long time...don't give up! We can do this! Char

Lifestyle change

Once you make those changes to your lifestyle, resisting temptation is so much easier.  Way to go!

Sweet Tea

I know how you feel on the tea!  I miss it too!   I get unsweetened now, but man do I miss the real stuff!   LOL    Sometimes I'll "cheat" and do half sweet/half unsweet just so I can have a little of the taste.   YUM!

I don't know why those magazines do that!    I noticed a picture in my WW cookbook of some brownies.   They had cut them into HUGE pieces; like 3x the actual serving size.   Trickery!   :)

Strawberry Shortcake is one of my favorites, so I'm glad I don't get that magazine.

Sweet tea craving!

Hi!  You aren't the only one out there missing that sweet tea - the sweeter the better!  I liked the comment about adding Splenda, should try that.  I am also getting used to the Diet Green Tea which isn't as good as the real deal but at least it's guilt free!  Good luck this week!

Jolie

thanks - and licking the cover

is not a bid idea at all. No fat, no calories, no added inches on the waistline or hip and thighs.

However, I am sure it has absolutely NO taste either.

Thanks for stopping by my blog...

have a great on plan day and take care

Ummmm! Sweet tea!

Well, I live in the south, and I love Sweet Tea!  I don't drink it much these days, but when I do treat myself, I really enjoy it!  The unsweetened kind with an artificial sweetener---yucky!  I'd rather just have water!

Sweet Tea

Oh, I love it too.  But, then again, I'm a Southern gal, too.  I'm proud of you for sticking to this.

Yeah, that magazine cover does sound a little counter productive.

Hope you had a great Mother's Day!
