Before After

totally random

I find it difficult a lot of days to get the boys dressed, get the stroller out, fight to strap them in...(God knows little boys dont like to be tied down! ) and get out the door for my walk. So if any of you can recommend work out dvds, or programs you can do at home...I would forever be obliged! I have the old sweatin to the oldies videos but I must say...Richards getting a bit old. I am looking for something fun and exciting! I need it!

My next thought is...Omg! I hate eating the same foods over and over again...So ideas on lowfat dinners...all recipes welcomed!

I was thinking last night...I dont know if it was because I was sick and bored...but Americans have a holiday for everything. Presidents day, Mothers, fathers, halloween, etc the list could go on. I think there should be "Hug a fluffy day" Yes folks..that means show the fluffy people or former fluffy people some love. lol.celebrate the fact that we have changed or are changing! Just because we love ourselves. So Im sending all you fluffies or former fluffies some love! (((Hugs))) We have come so far!

Have a terrific day! Keep smiling...and keep Owning your weight loss!

LOL

I was posting a comment to your last post when this one popped up...lol!

Good for you getting out with your boys.  I hear ya.  It's a bit difficult actually going out for a walk with my kids too.

I love Winsor Pilates...and I also do Billy Blanks Tae Bo.

I dont know if you have cable or not, but if you do and have digital cable there are free on demand channels...we have exercise on demand...channel 973 for us <giggle> and there are a TON of workouts on there.

keep up the great work, and I hope you are feeling better!

DVDs

I know for me the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs are actually some do-able workout videos.    I'm not very coordinated and still pretty out of shape, so those work great for now.    They have some advanced ones if you don't find the 1 or 2 mile walk ones challenging.

DVDs

My favorite is the Turbo Jam work out.  It was like $100 to get started, but with it you get 5 or 6 work outs, some cardio, some sculpting.  What I really liked is that one of the workouts is called "Learn and Burn"  It's basically a work out that teaches you the moves and how they should be done.

And if interested it comes with a jump start eating plan.  It worked really well, but I wasn't a big fan of most of the meals.

Hope it helps.  Oh and if you want some balanced meals check out the Body-For-Life website.

At-home workouts

If you have cable or satellite TV, check to see if you get FitTV.  I LOVE THAT CHANNEL!   I especially like Sharon Mann and Gilad. They have fitness programs in the early morning, or evening, so it's very convenient.  I also like the Billy Blanks TaeBo DVDs and The Firm Cardio Dance Workout.

Hope this helps!

DVD's

It's funny you should ask this question.  I literally just talked about that on my blog.  I love Leslie Sansones 5 mile walk.  It stops after every mile and is very doable.  She has a website, but I think you can get her DVD's at some places like target.  (Call first)  Good luck to you.

Workout

I also love love LOVE Turbo Jam.  I felt kinda silly doing it at first and I was like, I am not going to be tired from this at all, but the next day I was SO sore, which let me know I was doing something worthwhile.  Its a really great total body workout.  So is Tae Bo as well.

I also have this belly dancing video. Its called a "goddess workout".  Its kinda funny to do it, but its a great core workout and it can improve some coordination too :)

WATP

Definitely, Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds are great videos to get you started.  I had a bit of a hard time getting the Turbo Jam - now that I'm a little more "conditioned" I'm going to try it again but last time I just couldn't keep up!

Billy Blanks TaiBo is also great because it's pretty fun as opposed to the WATP's.  I like the whole kicking/punching thing.

I think finding something fun and different is good because you're more apt to wanting to do it.

Good luck!

Christine

exercise video ideas

this is out there but have you thought about stripersize?  i at one time had the one the lady that was on Oprah had but ebayed it.  i would love to try Carmen Electra's.  also there is "exercise for dummies"  i still have these, the yoga, pilates, and cardio.  the cardio is broken down into 15 min segments that focus on different body parts.  sorry you got sick!  if you decide to stay off the pills be sure to post how you do.

Gilad and recipes

I love doing Gilad on FitTV. I have DVR and record them, so I can exercise when my 2 year old daughter is taking a nap. He's a lot of fun and I feel like I'm dancing and working out when I follow him.

As for recipes. I know it can get boring to eat the same low fat food all the time, so what I do to keep it healthy is to look up some diet books in the library like You:on a diet, The Best life, etc. I also look up recipes on Fitness, Prevention and Shape websites. Sometimes they have good recipes. In fact, I made Sweet Onion Chicken last Tuesday and I thought it was really good. I plan to make it again next week. Hope it helps!

Go You!

I definetly agree with checking out your cable. I know that we get tons of fitness channels, then we have these freebies in the menu that has stuff to do as well. At least then you get to break up the monatony. And if you do the fitness channels stuff you can find what you really like to do. BTW i definetly understand why you didnt do the pilates. LMAO its HARD! But when you get smaller I suggest you try it again, your neck and back might not hurt as much kwim?

Wish I could help ya on the meal things. I am finding I am getting sick of eating the same old stuff also. If i come across anything I will holla at ya.

Oh ya feeling better today?

Exercise

I have no recommendations for you....sorry!  I have found all dvd's pretty boring.  The ones that I like the most are the Leslie Sansonef's "Walk Away The Pounds".  Have you heard of them?  I used to use those and they are pretty good.

Back At You

Hugs from one fluffy to another!

I'm almost finished the A-List Workout book, most of which I did at home before the kids got up in the morning.  You can check it out on Amazon.com if you want to take a peek.  Before starting the program, you couldn't PAY me to work out at home.

Next I'll be doing the T-Tapp program.  The DVDs should be arriving any day now.

As for food, I try to stick to whole foods such as fruits, veggies, nuts, chicken, fish, etc.  I'm not great in the kitchen, so things have to be simple.

I hope you get tons of feedback today.  Have a great evening!

Hey !!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Looks like we have the same goal  weight!!! I know we can do this! Let's get this fat off! I look forward to watching your progress

Ha!

My brain is dead today, so I spent way to long trying to work out what a fluffy was before I read on! This has been a long day. That's too funny. We do have a holiday for damn near everything. Hope you have a great Mother's Day. Oh, and I don't cook so no recipe suggests. Sorry! Bellydancing videos are pretty fun though and surprisingly tough.

...

FitTV for me too. Allstar workouts rocks. I love anything with Ellen Bartlette.

Videos

I like Turbo Jam (fun), Taebo (ouch), and the new TransFIRMer videos/step (covers cardio & weights)!!

Tamilee Webb

I love Leslie Sansone and all the recommendations above and I still love Tamilee Webb. It is my understanding she has now come up with a new workout series. What I do with my small boys is dance to The Wiggles!

Thanks for the comment and encouragement!

About the exercising, I use a treadmill and there are a lot of workout tapes/dvds out there.  Also, about eating good foods that are different, I really love the Weight Watcher ones and in some magazines like Shape or Self they have ideas and recipes.
