I have no problem deciding in the morning that today I am going to start losing weight, the problem is later on in the day.
I've lost weight in the past and have kept most of it off, now have to lose about 10 kg again (okay, 5 would be great), but have lost my will power. I have a busy life and am too tired to put in the effort to lose weight, but I know that once I start seriously I'll hold on track because I'll feel better. Also, becaue I don't have to lose that much, and basically I look OK, its hard to get started. The people I work with are much heavier than I am so if I say anything about losing weight they think I'm crazy ("what do you need to lose for, look at me"), but I care what I look and feel like, and I know that that extra 5 kg will make a great difference. I just can't really get started.
I would appreciate any comments of inspiration to lend a helping hand, and any one who would want to "pen pal" for joint inspiration.

Welcome
Welcome to EP, I think you have come to the right place!
As for inspiration - think of it this way... if it goes from 5 to 10 to 15kg you have to lose how badly will you wish you did something at 5?
Glad you found the EP site. It's inspirational to read blogs from others. Some people have a lot to lose and others have a small amount. The important thing is you need to do what is right for you. Don't worry about your co-workers. As the previous comment stated, better to lose 5-10 kg now than to watch it creep up to 15 or 20.
A statement from a friend, in Canada, always helps me when I need to get motivated about anything. She said, "I'd rather regret a decision I made than one I didn't make." That statement motivates me, on many subjects, so I don't regret indecision. It helped me when I rejoined Jenny Craig the week before Thanksgiving instead of waiting until 2008. 2008 is my year - I hope it will be your year as well.
Looking forward to reading your blog and following your progress.
